I absolutely love this Bodum 34oz gooseneck kettle! I use it every single day for my pour-over coffee, and it performs beautifully. Bought and returned all the top rated pots in every price point. They all fail in one way or another until this bad boy. Wow! Solid sleek aesthetic, a full liter capacity, 1200 watts of power, a tight fitting lid, a slow balanced controlled pour and a firm fit on the base. Nothing to learn. Nothing to program. Just flip the a glowing blue light and before you know it … you’ve got boiling water with an auto stop. Life is complicated enough. I don’t need boiling water to give me a headache. Thank you, Bodum for this rock solid product.

This hot water pot is a must if you do pour over coffees! It heats up super fast and the gooseneck is perfect for pouring the slow stream necessary. Plus the stainless steel 34 oz one I bought is beautiful and in my kitchen it is out on display all the time. Very good quality. The lid fits tightly and you don’t worry about it slipping off when you are pouring. Lastly, the auto off feature is the BEST because it clicks off when the water is ready to be poured. Just listen for the click if you are off doing something else in the kitchen. Of course the blue “on” light also notifies you by turning off.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I just had to let those wondering if this kettle is right for them!! First, it’s beautiful! I bought the stainless steel one and it’s very sleek!! Looks great on the counter! Second, it’s a good size if you don’t want a huge one! I’d say you could get 4 to 5 cups of tea from it! Third, it boils pretty fast! Took a little over 5 minutes to boil a full kettle of cold filtered water from the fridge! Cut that in almost half for half the kettle ( if you only need 2 to 3 cups! ) But here’s the best part, it fits beautifully on the docking station! No rocking!! Very solid and secure and the best of the best part…. It has the most satisfying grip! There’s a small indent area for your thumb to go when you pick up the kettle to pour!! It feels like it was made to fit my hand!! I would also think it’s good for Seniors or anyone with limited hand mobility! This is a great kettle and you’ll be very happy with it!!

The design is really cute. The material is made out of plastic. I followed instructions cleaning it with apple cider vinegar and water. I filled the kettle up to 6 cups (NOT MAX) and the lid popped off. SHORT VERSION: The lid does not stay on tightly. It’s just placed on top, not clicks, or locks.

heats pretty quickly for a 120 volt water heater. The material is pretty thin and feels a little flimsy but seems to work just fine. it does turn off automatically as it's supposed to which some of these models don't do and the poor spout on here pours pretty well

Went with the same brand for pour over coffee maker and you do need a kettle to get the perfect cup of coffee. I fill this with about 3 cups of water and 3 tablespoons of coffee and the coffee comes out perfect. Love the switch to tap on and it automatically shuts off when finished. Canisters are filled with Peet’s organic coffee and Sports Research collagen all from Amazon.

This might be the second review of this Bodum kettle. I love the style of this cool coffee kettle pour. It has a nice long spout ideal for French press coffee. Therefore it does have good functionality in that sense. I love the auto shut off, but the water capacity is a little lacking to serve for four people, but no fault of the manufacturer because I knew this ahead of time. My biggest complaint is that it has developed some tarnishing of the stainless steel. Perhaps I need the right product to remove these marks. It doesn’t look as shiny as it once did. I still like it very much. I alternate using this and my other larger glass kettle for now.

So annoyed. The kettle arrived with US plug. Why sell this product when it cannot be easily plugged into uk socket.

Update - Jan 2025: Came here to say this kettle still looks and works great! Going on 3 years of daily use. A month in and we are loving this kettle! It's quiet, heats up quickly and looks great on the counter! There were no weird smells as mentioned in other reviews. I descale it once a week by boiling a little vinegar water in it and then use the water to shine the outside once it cools down. No issues with build up so far.

Nice looking and well made, we've had this kettle for over a year and are very satisfied with the purchase.

If you make coffee with filters in a pour over then you know that you need a small spout that is positioned away from the boiling cavity. This allows you to get around the filter edge to wash the grounds down into the middle again. This is the solution.
