UPDATE: Leave the switch in the ON position while charging and they work perfectly. So far, this is a good product that we enjoy every evening.5.8.18: Had these candles for 7 days and none of them will stay lit for more than 15 minutes. They are charged in full sun every day.

I have these lights surrounding a memorial cross. I couldn't figure out how to apply them for the purpose I wanted them for. I hastily decided to epoxy them to rocks which I lined the memorial with. The epoxy weakened out in the weather and a few of the lights fell off the rock (;-). When I went there one night I noticed these little lights in the bushes around the area. It looked cool. But I gathered them up and put them back. These little lights have stood up to wind, rain, hail and being tossed around after falling off their rocks. I am buying more.

My use: illuminaria during Christmas. I quickly determined that these need some upgrades (not difficult but takes some time and $).The cons: The (soldered) battery is of very poor quality. Some units have an issue with the on/off sliding button (those units were tossed). I estimate that at least 10% were not remotely close to being weather proof. (however, they continued working... but be forewarned that the solder (if not replaced as noted below) will quickly rust and fail in fairly short order.Fairly easy upgrade that would upgrade to 5 stars: Replace batteries with Eneloop (will easily run 40+ hrs without recharge)(Panasonic BK-4MCCA8BA eneloop AAA). Battery cradle for easy replacement of a battery in the future (SODIAL(R)6Pcs Wired Connector). Reconnected wires with Morris 10767 Insulation Displacement Connectors, UY2.After replacing with a good rechargeable battery the lights ran for without fail at night despite some cloudy days --- for me 50%+ of the days were fairly or full sun. I did not get that performance with original batteries.With the original, horrible battery (which is soldered in to prevent easy replacement) these merit 3 stars at best.

I ordered the "Warm White" version of this item, but what I received was a 6-pack of Cool White Flickering. Although the sticker on the box says they are Warm White, they are most definitely a blueish cool white, and they're flickering. I'm ok with the flickering because my wife likes it, but neither of us like the cool bluish-white LEDs ... which is why we ordered "warm white". Not sure whether the label on the box was incorrect, or the item was described incorrectly, but in either case the result is very disappointing! (See photos)***NOTE***I contacted the seller about this issue, but did not receive any response. Based on my experience, it would appear that level the customer service from this seller matches the level of accuracy of the product description. Really poor.

I had gotten a message that it was going to come a month late and then I got them a few days later. Came in a box that looked odd. I honestly didn’t know what it was wrapped in black plastic and then heavily taped. Came with a cute note. But one of them just doesn’t work. Turned them all on. Charged them all in a window and one just doesn’t do anything. Also this part is my fault. I searched for solar tea lights and these came up. They are not tea lights! Make sure you’re looking for a larger candle! But also buy ones that work! ie. not these!

I waited several months before reviewing to test these out in the hot Florida sun and I am most pleased! Long lasting, sturdy and waterproof - a great product all around. Accidentally left one light sitting in water for a week+ and thought it was a goner. Let it dry out and it works great despite a rusty battery connection!!

Ordered these for an outdoor chandelier! They are a great size and look very realistic when they light up at night. Love how these worked for me.

I am always a bit skeptical about outdoor solar lights, but these are perfect. I have them in a couple of place on my back patio and they stay lit until dawn. A great value for the price and so far they have worked for over two months just on solar recharge.
