Equity 31003 LCD Snooze Alarm Clock, Black

All I wanted was a small, simple clock that runs off one AA battery and tells me what time it is - this one fills the bill! My only quibble is the blue backlight - which stays on only as long as you press the snooze and not one second longer (this is a positive for me) - is just way too bright. I cracked it open and put a 10k ohm resistor in series with the LED and now I'm a happy snoozer.It could be improved in other ways like a quietly operating snooze button (ALL the buttons on this clock are quite clacky), and maybe up/down buttons instead of just up. But for super cheap and being almost exactly what I was looking for amongst a sea of sub-optimal fluff, I really can't complain too much.Mine is currently running like a champ with a rechargable NiMh AA cell, and that's another positive.

Exactly what we needed! This is a small, nice-looking, battery-operated alarm clock with a readable but inobtrusive glow, unlike some of the screaming blue and red clocks we've had. And the alarm doesn't scream in your face ... it's kind of nice, like it's saying "hello, hello, hello." I realize that made me sound nuts, but I've dealt with an awful lot of alarm clocks in my life, and this one just seems friendlier. (No, I'm not senile or stoned; after four tries with small alarm clocks in two weeks, I'm just very impressed with this one.)

I bought this alarm clock for an extended trip. It appealed to me because it was inexpensive, small, and battery-operated. It is indeed all of those things, but the alarm is not very loud at all (there is also no volume adjustment). If you need a loud alarm to wake up, you might want to go with a different alarm clock.I had a really hard time installing the battery -- the compartment is a little on the small side.It is very lightweight.It has all the basic functions of an alarm clock- snooze and light features and standard alarm on/off feature.

Works for overnights away

The clock isn't as described. It is very small, and it is hard to read the time on it.There isn't much functionality. Essentially, it will just beep when the time is reached. It is not anything I would ever recommend for someone to have on their night stand. It is too small, and you cannot easily wake up at night and look at it to check the time of day.This has to have been one of the worst purchases I have made in a while.Save your money... Buy a regular clock radio alarm clock... For now I'm just using my tablet or phone to wake me up.

Good quality and easy to set up, single AA battery (not included) and use. A little smaller than I expected, but the size was posted. I highly recommend.

Great small clock. Have one in each bathroom and bedroom. The front of this Equity La Crosse 31003 clock have the perfect angle, readable when standing right above it I like that it is dark at night unless you puss the top bar. The top bar illuminates nicely the numbers for night reading. My prior one lasted over 18 years. Small, takes a single AA battery, (I like the AA better than the AAA).The alarm is quite loud which is good when we are in another room of the house it is very easy to hear.
