Connections were easy. Connected the battery with the right terminals, chose the correct battery type (Tubular in my Case) and chose the mode I wanted (UPS in my case and not eco since I wanted the UPS to cut off earlier with even slight voltage variation). Made sure that the MCB behind the UPS was on and also the switch was set to Normal. The UPS started functioning perfectly. I purchased the battery from a local vendor as he provided better prices (also for the return of my old battery).The UPS takes about a minute to recognize the battery level. This happens only the first time you connect the battery. It will take some time to recognize the battery capacity every time you disconnect and reconnect the battery and in most cases, I guess people hardly do this once in 3 or 4 years to replace the battery.The screen is informative. Shows a power icon when mains are connected. Shows Eco logo if it is set to eco mode and no logo in UPS mode. It shows the battery type when you change the type behind the UPS. When the UPS is on battery, the timer shows the approximate battery life in hours and minutes. If the battery is being charged, the UPS shows the time left for a full charge in hours and minutes. 2 downsides: If you have a high capacity battery and no load or low load (say just 2 or 3 LEDs) then the display shows the maximum 9 hours and 59 minutes since the display has no more space to show time beyond 9:59. The second downside is that the fan makes a significant amount of noise while the battery is charging and also generates quite a lot of heat. Avoid placing it in the living room or close to your bedroom.The UPS does come with an option that gives you the battery distilled water level indicator. The downside is that most vendors do not have this in stock (Luminous E-Float Magnetic Water Level Sensor, as far as I remember).The other issue I faced was the error codes. It was late at night and my light switch was not working. I decided to change it myself as I had a spare. I was working with the electricity on and accidentally did something to trip the breaker. My breaker tripped, I turned it back on. But the UPS was running on battery even when there was electricity available. The screen showed an error code like B01 if I remember. I did not have the manual handy and did not get any results when I googled the code. I then planned to remove the UPS and connect the mains directly, that's when I found that the UPS breaker had tripped as well. A simple breaker reset solved the problem.The last thing on my mind was the input wire size. I spent quite a lot for home wiring and have used wires with thickness of 4 sq. mm for lighting circuits as well. The wire that carries the load of all light, fans and electronic devices passes through a very thin wire provided by the manufacturer. I always have the concern that an overload may burn that wire even before the breaker trips. Maybe all manufacturers have this practice. The wires provided in 2000W water heater or an A/C unit are very thin as well and I am just a little paranoid.

Everything is good except the display!Display is so poor that you can only able to see it when there is no surrounding light or very dim light like early morning/evening/night

Excellent product, works as expected, no issue so far. One draw back , cannot see from afar the charge discharge status, some green and amber LED on front panel would have made things easier . The charge and discharge time indicator LCD is very useful and much needed feature

Product is good but customer service is pathetic. After lodging complain at luminous, theie technician keeps you Waiting. They will ask you for guaranty card photo , battery photo, inverter photo and all that.. they have no manner to talk.

I purchased Luminous 1100 v2 inverter 4 months ago. It has been working fine. I found one issue though. In winter months, when battery is full almost all the time and mains is on, inverter puts the battery on charge for 5 mins every 3-5 seconds. And then it goes back to not-charging mode. This change makes a thug sound every 3-5 seconds. During this change, light flickers for few seconds and then goes back normal.I called the engineer from Luminous, he pointed it to the voltage.The above issue is not an everyday event, it happens only when battery is full and fans are not running in winter months. I googled this issues on the web, and it is listed as 5 mins charging without a solution.The inverter works fine if you consume the battery. But if the battery is full and mains is on, then this issue crops up. Just wanted to let future buyers and the company know, so it can be resolved by a qualified engineer.

After I receive my Luminous Inverter, the next day my free installation was scheduled.The Luminous company send a technician same day of "installation"After installation completed, within a couple of hours I found that the inverter fan is running continuously.I call back to company service & registered a complaint about it.Next day, the company technician came, examine, and told me that the motherboard is faulty and needs to be replaced.Today I got my inverter motherboard replaced and now finally my inverter is working properly.( Conclusion : The seller send me a faulty product that some customer returns it to him)Such pro business tactics actually sends bad conclusion about the company.I gave zero rating to the seller. The Luminous inverter product is pretty good. Please purchase it offline.

Veru good product and working awesome. I like the design and lcd display. It shows battery level and backups Time depending on The load.I have a small problem with this exhaust fan it produces more humming sound while charging time and lcd display shows 5 minutes to full charge but it is taking 2 to 3 hours in that times suddenly exhaust Fan off and on. And one more thing is inverter terminal wires are little bit short . Other then overall it’s good Inverter i will update my comment with future usage
