It was tough to rate this item. The batteries are just fine--long shelf life, but the packaging is outrageous. I know the law requires each battery to be sealed because supposedly little kids might swallow them. There must be a way to satisfy that requirement without making it so difficult to open. Most people who need hearing aids are elderly, like me--I'm 81 and its difficult to open many items now. This is the worst.I guess it doesn't matter which brand, they are all packaged now the same way. The reason for the 3 stars is hopefully to draw a little bit of attention to this difficult situation. Can't somebody come up with a sensible solution that would make everybody happy?

Used the powerone p13 for years; a quality battery in an easy to use package. I "reordered" and received p13 in a "child resistant" package that is a poor design that is difficult to open. The batteries are marked +13. DO NOT BUY THESE UNLESS YOU PLAN ON CARRYING A PAIR OF SCISSORS AT ALL TIMES. I didnot request CHILDPROOF ......beware.....they dumped them on me!

Too difficult to to open battery pack

terrible child proof packaging. I struggle opening due to arthritis in both thumbs. AVOID
