One of the finest lens
Build quality of this lens is good. It produces sharp images with impressive bokeh. You can see second image of the box which is clicked by this lens. Bokeh effect is super smooth. This lens works awesome in low light conditions as well.

Best prime I've used for portrait photography
One of the best primes I have, the bokeh is pretty nice at 1.4. Special lens for portrait photography and in FF gets even better. Will be hard to focus with it, but once you get the trick, you will love it. It's expensive regarding 1.8f but worth the difference. I've been using it for about 4 months now and it's my main lens at the moment. Attached photo is mine, free non-commercial use is available, please give proper credits.

Brilliant portrait photography
Price is too high, product is no doubt good, perfect for full frame camera sensor, brilliant in portrait photography because of f/1.4.

50 MM f/1.4g nikkor lens.
Probably one of the most versatile portrait lens every photographer should have. Skipping the excessively large pros and cons of the lens, the manual focus is extremely smooth providing greater depth of field and extremely sharp images. The post-processing of any image is cut down to greater extents due to amazing picture quality as compared to a 35mm prime lens. Below is a first shot image clicked using this lens. Good lens for portrait, but the price is too hight I bought it at π32.5 k other than that I'm satisfied

Go for it
The focus motor is not so much silent. But leave that, the pictures are awesome. Manual focus is way better. Auto focus takes some time. Best low light demon in the market.

Awesome
An Awesome piece of lens with smooth focusing. New AF-P type might be better but I haven't used it. Bouquet effect is too good. And plays really well in low light as lowest aperture of 1.4 can be used.

My favourite
Excellent lens for my Nikon D850 amazing results can even manage good contrast wide open . Lacks weather and dust sealing , but being as prime lens it's not overly a deal breaker . I just love the feel of Nikon lenses to third party counterparts . I still buy third party lenses such as Tamron because the are very serviceable from a price point , and I quite like Viltrox . But this one is my favourite .

What a great lens!
OMG. How did I live without this lens??? the Bokeh is buttery soft and my photos on my D750 are terrific It's also very light so is great to walk around with. Love it.

Excelente lente. No puede faltar en tu set de objetivos
El 1.4 es un bokeh delicioso. Tomando en cuenta que es un 1.4 está a un precio bastante accesible. No es de la línea “N” de Nikon, sin embargo es un magnífico objetivo para diferentes tipos de situaciones. Yo soy fotógrafo de quinceañeras y bodas, le he sacado bastante provecho. Con este ya tengo las medidas de 24, 35 y 85 en 1.8. Este 50mm es el único que tengo en 1.4 y de verdad que es una delicia el retrato con él. No dudes en adquirirlo.

Sehr gutes Objektiv - sehr gutes Preisleistungsverhältnis
Ich habe das Nikon 50mm 1.4 nun schon zum zweiten Mal gekauft. Ich denke alleine dieses spricht schon für meine Überzeugung zum Produkt. Das Objektiv hat ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis und gehört aus meiner Sicht in jede Fototasche Zum Autofokus. Dieser ist, trotz AF-S, gegenüber anderen Modellen etwas langsamer. Jedoch ist beim Autofokus auch häufig der Anwender das Problem. Denn auch die Kamera spielt dort noch eine große Rolle. Also bitte auch mit dem internen AF auseinandersetzen, bevor auf das Objektiv „eingeschlagen“ wird. Weiterhin sollte der Einsatzzweck des Objektivs betrachtet werden, welches sich meistens im Bereich Portraitfotografie bewegt. Hier ist ein sehr schneller AF nicht erforderlich. Im direkten Vergleich zu Objektiven von z.B. Sigma kann man jedoch zu 99% davon ausgehen, dass der AF auch richtig sitzt. Dieses ist leider, insbesondere bei Objektiven von Sigma, nicht der Fall. Diese Erfahrung durfte ich auch persönlich machen. Bezüglich der Abbildungsleistung muss ich aus meiner Sicht kein Wort verlieren. Bei einer Offenblende von 1.4 reicht bereits ein Herzschlag, um ein unscharfes Ergebnis zu bekommen. Hier sollte sich also niemand beschweren, der nicht vom Stativ mit Fernauslöser fotografiert. Ab Blende 2 sind jedoch schon wunderbar scharfe Bilder zu erreichen. Das Bokeh ist wirklich fantastisch und hilft, das Motiv sehr gut freizustellen. Wie schon in anderen Anmerkungen beschrieben ist der Unterschied im Gehäuse zu anderen Festbrennweiten schon spürbar und wirkt auf den ersten Augenblick weniger hochwertig. Da sich dieses jedoch auch im Gesamtpreis wieder, für mich also kein Negativpunkt.
