It is scented. It has a fantastic, natural oil kind of scent. I am usually sensitive to products that are scented, but have had no issues. I only notice it during application, not after that.

My hair is color treated and I'm fine. Of course some colors fade and get brassy no matter what,so that requires special in between color products.Hope this helps.
