Orient Bambino Version 7 Small Seconds 38.4mm Automatic/Hand-Winding Dress Watch

This is my first Orient watches, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I have a very modest watch collection with my best being some Omegas. I certainly wasn't expecting Omega quality from Orient. First impression: This is a BEAUTIFUL watch. It feels good and solid, with a great finish on all parts, and an excellent dial and crystal. It could easily be confused with much more expensive watches. The watch has some actual wight to it, which is very nice. The movement, which can be seen through the back, is not as well finished as higher end watches, but looks well built and sounds good, but not great. It sounds like a workhorse watch, which is perfect at this price. The faux leather band looks good, but feels a bit stiff and rugged, and looks a tiny bit as though it was made under a budget. That being said, I am sure it will wear well. The only true "fault" I found was when I wound it manually. The winding mechanism feels stiff and not as smooth as many of my other watches, including some at this price. Since you will rarely wind it (automatic), most people won't notice or care. One point I particularly liked was the box it came in. It made no pretenses about being a high end, luxury box. It was reminiscent of a mid-century box a watch like this would have come in back in the day. I like that they saved the money, but still did a decent presentation. All things being said, based on this unboxing, I would highly recommend this watch. Other reviews indicate these watches do well over time, so I expect no surprises. This is a fabulous designed watch with quality parts at a great price point. I am a watch guy with over 50 timepieces , and Orients selection is top of the charts.

A beautiful watch that lays flat on the wrist and is relatively thin, even with the domed crystal. The dial is very attractive and the automatic movement, which is visible through the display case back, appears to be robust and well made for a watch sold at this price point. Some additional decoration of the movement would be a nice touch. The calf leather strap is thin and a bit stiff, but will soften with use. I am pleased with this purchase and recommend this watch to anyone that wants a well made and attractive watch that will not break the bank.

I love this watch! (My other watches don't get worn anymore.) The 38.4mm diameter case is just the right size for me. The leather band that came with it is very nice. (I've spent much more on a watch and not liked the band that came with it.) The date is easy to read. Made in Thailand. 24 jewel movement. Beautiful watch. I love the color of the face. It reminds me of watches that I have seen old men wear. I wear it at work and on my days off. Mine runs about a quarter of a minute fast per week. I will likely buy another Orient watch in the future.

Orient has some of the best looking watches for the value of your money. I got the white version with the black band which gives it a modern but simplistic look. Absolutely stunning watch and great functionality, with overnight shipping! I ordered it in the evening and had the watch in my Amazon locker the next day.
