Too Large, No Shrinkage
If there was an S, it would have fit me better. My feet are swimming in extra material. Unfortunately, the smallest size available is M (see photos - I received the smallest size available: 5.5-7.5”/21.5-23.5cm pair). The tabi are actually closer to 24cm.My feet are in between a US women’s size 5 - 5.5, so I was hoping the material would shrink as the description called the material “shrinkable fiber.” The seller answered a question in the Q&A stating that it is polyester, however, the item description still says this is cotton (it’s not). It’s 100% polyester, and I’ve included a photo of the Japanese label for reference. The most it shrunk after machine washing and drying was 1/2 cm. Ideally, if you are US women’s 6 - 7.5, this tabi may suit you much better.I dislike this sizing system but it is what it is. Order at your own discretion - I’m l sure I can salvage the tabi by taking in the seams at the ankles, but just a heads up for people considering these that you may need to do some light tailoring if they don’t fit you exactly right away. Or return them and look for better quality tabi with kohaze. The soles are also unlined on these. I waffle between giving it 3 or 4 stars, but am only docking 1 star because at the end of the day, they’re affordable alternatives to traditional tabi.

Comfortable tabi
This didn’t have the little clips and it was stretchable around very thick ankles so it fit perfectly.

NO TABS FOR OPENING
I expected these to be like real Japanese tabi, which have clips on the back so the foot can slide in. I couldn't get these on my feet because the top is too small.

Authentic made in Japan
These are exactly what I was looking for and made in Japan.Actually wear as cover but I can just use instead of traditional formal “Tabi “ .
