All fittings are of high quality .925 Sterling silver. This bracelet is 7 and a half inches (19cm) in length. The extender measures an inch which increases this bracelets wearable size to 8 and a half inches (21.5cm) in total. The closure is a .925 Sterling silver trigger clasp and is secure, yet easy to use. If you would like a different size all our bracelets can be made to any length upon request. Gemstone information Garnet is the birthstone for January and the stone that celebrates the 2nd anniversary of marriage. The name "Garnet" comes from the Latin word "Garanatus," meaning "seedlike," in reference to a pomegranate. This reference makes sense as small garnets look like the bright red seeds you find inside in a pomegranate. Pearl is the birthstone for June.
