Pleasantly surprised by the number of features this radio offers, definitely a “must” for any Emergency Preparedness Kit! I’ve found myself using it during the day while working in the garden shed, While the unit does operate off batteries the hand crank function is essential disasters, examples hurricanes or post-earthquake operations that can last for days. The USB port is very handy for charging cell phone and the top panel solar cells work great for charging the unit as well. We took this unit hiking, small enough it doesn’t take up much space in a backpack, and it charged our cell phones while we were having lunch! Beyond AM and FM radio Another neat feature is the NOAA channel, THE go-to channel in disasters. The flashlight is extremely bright. Plan on buying more for kids’ emergency disaster kits, yes the practical “Mom” Christmas gift, this unit is something we should all have in our homes or take when hiking.

Just got this today. Played with the various features all evening. Works very well except on the AM band. I only received 2 stations on AM, but I was indoors. The WB picked up 2 stations one very clear the other ok, with a little static. FM was excellent. Sound quality was very good. The lights are quite handy. The radio was about 25% charged when it arrived, took an hour to charge to 100% with USB cord. I'd recommend it.

I bought this because we had several summer storms knock out power for a day or more. It ended up being go to camping equipment. The flashlight has three settings and I rarely needed to use the highest setting as the others were more than sufficient around the campsite and walking around after dark. The radio sound was quite good, although the range is not especially good. However, even driving across the northern plains in the USA, I was able to get multiple stations. I did take off one star for the slow, low charging rate when using solar or the crank. It's fine when charging with USB. The crank, as is normal with such a small unit, is rather small, meaning that you need many revolutions to get much power and your arm may be tired before you get as much power as you need. I really like that it has so many charging methods so that I don't have to rely on just one or two. Once or twice this radio even allowed me to charge my phone when expected electrical connections turned out to be non-existent. I've been very happy with this product.

I purchased this for our survival kit - it's great. It's got a hand crank - can be recharged with a cord or solar. It's got a radio. You can charge a phone from it. This is the 4th one l have purchased! I want to be prepared for any power outage AND to be able to share a radio with a neighbor in need. Every 3 months or so, check the charge and bring it back up to 4 green dots.

I read so many of the reviews prior to the purchase. Despite some of the negative feedback I still purchased the item. I couldn't be happier. It's Compact. It's durable. And boy!! When you play the sound on a high volume. I cannot tell you how I've mistaken this for a 100$ speaker I've purchased. This radio is so clear in sound. And the flashlights. Wow!! They are LED for sure. Very bright. I am very excited and since purchasing I've used it each day. No issues, no problems. Plus guys!! For what it is, the price is just right!! I'm sure you can find better ones at a higher price. But if you live on a budget. This item is the one for you. It'll definitely get the job done.

Das Radio funktioniert, auch wenn die Qualität nicht so berauschend ist. Die Sendereinstellung ist etwas fummelig. Bei gutem Signal leuchtet ein grünes LED. Das war mir aber klar. Es soll ja eh nur für den Notfall sein. Die Kurbel ist schön lang und geht leicht zu drehen. Um den integrierten 4000mAh Akku oder Handys voll aufzuladen ist diese aber ungeeignet. Der Kurbelgenerator bringt ca. 300mA. Man müsste also über 13 Stunden Kurbeln bis der Akku voll ist. Die Kurbel ist nur für den Notfall um kurz Licht oder Radio zu nutzen. Gut ist die Anzeige des Ladezustand über vier blaue LED. Dann weiß man wie man mit der Energie haushalten muss. Toll ist der automatische Bewegungsmelder bei aufgeklappter Lampe (Leselicht unter dem Solarpanel). Ideal als Alarmlicht oder Nachtlicht (zur Orientierung) im Hotel. So kann man in ruhe schlafen und schreckt mit dem automatischen Licht ungebetene Menschen / Tiere ab. Die Abmessungen sind mit 16cm x 8,5cm x 6,5cm wesentlich größer als in der Beschreibung genannt. Mit rund 500gr. und den ungeschützten Schaltern/Reglern ist die Lampe für Outdoor eher ungeeignet. Das Ladelicht des Solarpanel leuchtet bei der geringsten Sonneneinstrahlung. Die Ladeleistung wird bei dem kleinen Panel aber nicht sehr hoch sein. Reicht aber sicher damit der Akku bei Nichtbenutzung voll bleibt. Für den niedrigen Preis bin ich von der Funktionalität echt begeistert.

Also, was soll man sagen ? Wenn man keine großen Ansprüche stellt und mal nur mal einen Tag am See liegt, dann ist das Teil für diesen Preis MEGA.
