Great source of freeze dried Natto powder
Natto is a very popular Japanese superfood rich in minerals and especially vitamin K along with probiotics that are supposed to help digestion, help with gut issues, provide stronger bones and improve cardio vascular health.Unfortunately proper natto is not that appealing as it's a sticky, slimy, stringy concoction made from fermenting soya beans with bacillus subtilis bacteria, but the Japanese seem to like it.A much easier way of getting the same nutritional kick is by taking freeze dried Natto that research has suggested contains all of the same benefits in a more concentrated and more palatable form. This premium Natto powder comes in a resealable foil pouch and is a beige looking powder. It's clearly an authentic Japanese product judging by the packet, which has an english label stuck over the Japanese text. The best before date is about 14 months away, but it suggests consuming as soon as possible after opening. The packet suggests to take 1-2 teaspoons a day or approximately 1.5g, however I found that a single level teaspoon full actually weighed 2.5g!The packet is pretty small and only contains 45g so you get at most a months supply at 1.5g, and more likely much less as 2 teaspoons a day would only last 9 days! The taste is really ok. I tried it straight in my mouth and it has this weird ability to stick to the roof of your mouth and stay put no matter what! A much more effective approach was to dissolve it in a small glass of water as it dissolved and mixed quite well. I found the taste to be quite pleasant - a sort of malty type of vibe. I think it would be nice on many things as long as the powder is mixed with something to stop it sticking to the roof of your mouth. There's QR code on the packet saying 'how to eat', but unfortunately it was just a generic product page saying what it is.Time will tell if it brings any health benefits, but the general consensus and research on Natto and Natto powder seems to indicate it as a worthwhile product, so definitely worth a go if the price doesn't put you off.

Look after your gut health
As a vegan, I'm already a superfan of soya so I was eager to try this. It is a little pricey at £15 for a small bag but it has some great health benefits. If you're not familiar with natto and its health benefits then it would be a good idea to do your own research to see if it could be a good fit for you.Similar to miso, I'm not a fan of the taste of natto so it's great to be able to sneak natto powder into meals without altering the flavour. It's such an easy win to benefit your health gut. I always follow a rule that if I use up a bottle or packet of a food supplement and notice no difference when it's gone then I am reluctant to buy it again. However, if I do notice a difference then I reorder! This natto powder is definitely worth trying.

Tastes Just Like Fresh Natto
I really enjoy natto and eat a lot of it while in Japan - the texture and taste is not for everyone, however, this tastes just like natto straight from the tub without the sticky (sometimes described as slime-like) texture.Made from fermented soybeans, this natto has been freezedried and turned into a powder. Storing conditions are a bit unclear - once opened it says to use as soon as possible but there are quite a few teaspoons full, so probably best to open it and consume no longer than 7-10 days for freshness.I wouldn't recommend just eating it off the spoon as that made it stick to my mouth (I was curious) but if you are missing the flavour of natto, I recommend some freshly cooked Japanese rice, sprinkle the powder on top and then use some nori flakes (or sushi seaweed chopped-up).Compared to natto and considering the longevity once opened, a bit expensive but direct from Japan and authentic-taste.

Not odorous in the slightest!
I was expecting this natto powder to stink to high heaven, but I was pleasantly surprised on opening it that it just had a sort of malty smell, and actually had less of a scent than nooch.I've tried the normal natto before in Japan and it was so hard to eat, probably because of the smell - yet the Japanese eat it because of the purported health benefits. This little packet provides maybe 20-30 days of natto, which is reasonably considering you'd spend easily that much to each the stinky version for just 4-5 days.

The taste is quite mild
I was a bit apprehensive about trying Natto Powder for the first time, expecting a strong, pungent flavour. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The taste is quite mild, with a subtle malty note. It's easy to incorporate into my diet, whether it's added to smoothies or sprinkled on yoghurt. I'm pleased that it's a natural and nutritious way to support my gut health and immune system.

Decent natto powder, but too pricey! 😲
This is a 45g pack of natto powder. 45g is not a lot, so yous need to use it sparingly. You can sprinkle it on your food or add it to drinks and smoothies etc. It's currently £15. I think that is far too expensive for only 45g. 😲
