Q: Does it need to be washed off?

Not necessary. If you feel a slight tingling sensation at the application site, that's ok. However, if you still have some excess after application, you can wash it off or remove the residue with a dry pad or paper towel.

Q: Do I need to apply spf after use?

Yes. We generally highly recommend using the SPF every day! The skin, even in small quantities, may be personally photosensitive to sunlight after the use of glycolic acid. We use the pads in the evening before going to bed, or if you know you will be out in the sun for an hour after using the pads, apply SPF 30+!
