Smooth, Precise Dimming for LED/CFL Lights
This dimmer works smoothly with LED and CFL bulbs, and the included wall plate gives it a clean, finished look. The slider is precise, the switch feels solid, and the dimming range is wide enough to get the exact brightness you want. Installation is straightforward if you’ve handled basic wiring before. It’s a simple upgrade that makes lighting feel more comfortable and customizable throughout the day

Too many models of Lutron dimmers that look the same - this is likely the one you want
We just had our first child and during the course of setting up the baby's room we realized we needed a way to reduce the light level in the room at night when changing diapers, etc... I bought this unit to match another I had in the house aesthetically. I like it because you operate it normally with the rocker switch, but then if you want to turn down the lighting level you can using the discreet slider. This seems to not put as much wear and tear on the dimmer slider as it infrequently is moved. It took quite a bit of research to figure out what all the different models of Lutron dimmers did. They have a lot of them that look identical, but with different characteristics operating wise. Even looking at Lutron's site, not all the model numbers matched up with what Amazon sold. I eventually figured out that this would be the best dimmer for me as compared to my older one downstairs, this is a newer model that supports CFL/LED screw in type bulbs. It has one wattage rating for CFL/LED and a separate for incandescent (i.e. 150 watts for CFL/LED and 600 watts for normal incandescent/halogen). While I was using this on a halogen fixture today, I wanted the ability to swap to LED later so I went with this one over the older series. Note that this one does *not* have the convenient little night light that let's you find the switch in the dark like the older series (that only does incandescent) does. I suspect this is because in order for that to work, it must "leak" some current through the "load" light bulb in order to light the nightlight, and CFL/LED ballasts don't think that is very funny. Amazon also sells this same exact switch, but with an "H" on the end of the product SKU. From what I can tell, that just means you get the "retail" clamshell packaging and a faceplate cover with it instead of the small contractor style cardboard box. I hate packaging waste and I already had faceplate covers, so I went with this one. One other feature of note is that this unit has a little thumbwheel on the bottom left of the switch (behind the wall plate cover) that let's you set the minimum dimming level. I suspect this is to keep CFL's / LED's from freaking out and flickering when they don't get enough power to fire up the lamp and keep it lit. I am not sure if the older series had this or not. Since I am just using it with a halogen light right now I left it set to the default setting which works great and starts off at an extremely low light level. My wife loves me for buying and installing this thing, and I am happy with the quality. Highly recommended! -Eric

Works great with LED bulbs, but it's large
I've installed a few of these dimmers, and they have worked great for their intended purpose: dimming LED bulbs. We have them mated to bulbs from various manufacturers, and as long as the bulbs are dimmable, these dimmers work very well. We have no flickering from any of the bulbs we're using, regardless of dimming level. Depending upon the bulbs, they may not dim all the way down to entirely "off," but they do dim as far down as we need them to without actually simply switching the lights off. As with most dimmers, wifi switches, motion detectors, timers, etc that are designed to replace a simple wall switch, these things are fairly large and may not be usable in a shallower box. The fact that they connect via short lengths of wire requiring the use of wire nuts rather than connecting via small ports using a locking screw further increases the amount of box space required to install them. However, keeping wires as short as practical and the judicious placement of wire connections will generally allow the dimmer to fit in most reasonably sized electrical boxes. As an extreme example, I have two of these dimmers plus two 2-gang switches (a total of six switched circuits) installed in a 4-gang box with eleven 12 AWG wires feeding it (attached photos). It was a challenge I'd prefer not to repeat too frequently, but I was able to pack all of this neatly into the box. A few reviews have mentioned a concern over the "feel" of the switching action, even to the extent of downgrading the rating because they don't feel like a quality switch. I don't share this opinion. Based upon having installed hundreds of various types of switches over the years (single pole, 3-way, 4-way, dimmers, etc from various manufacturers), it's true that they feel a little different from some others... just about every type of switch has its own unique feel. But unlike some other switches on the market, they have a very positive two-state motion and "click" leaving no doubt about which position they're in, which is always a good thing. Perhaps the concern is that they do actually have a click sound and positive engagement, as opposed to switches with a more dampened sound and feel. Regardless, these dimmers perform very well and I would not let a concern over feel dissuade me. With Amazon selling a 3-pack for just over $50, you absolutely cannot beat the quality of this dimmer for the price. The only consideration I'd have for not purchasing this dimmer is if you'd really rather have a wifi capable dimmer that can be dimmed remotely via an app or connected to Alexa. If you don't need or want a wifi capability, though, you can't go wrong with this dimmer.

This dimmer was easy to install and works well, with no buzzing of the dimmer or the lights. It can be used to replace a single switch or two-switch system. A bright/dim controller allows adjustment of the lights at their minimum. Even at minimum setting the switch powers up the lights. This dimmer can be installed with a regular faceplate and two screws, but comes with a screwless faceplate. This has to be removed for installation. This is fairly simple to do before mounting as you can get to the back of the plate to release the hooks. But once the plate is snapped on to the dimmer, it seems trickier to remove, with the possibility of breakage. The bright/dim controller is only accessible with the faceplate off. I'd like to check the bright/dim controller settings on the Lutron dimmers that came with the house, but have chickened out for fear of breaking the plate.

Funciona de manera perfecta con unos leds dimmeables chinos que compre de ebay. No cabe duda de que son compatibles con una gran cantidad de leds.
