I love this charger!!!
It simply works and works great!I have mine set up for two batteries, and that means the charger has four wires, a positive and negative for each battery, so my two battery system needed a "two bank" charger.Multiple battery installations require one pair of wires from the charger to each individual battery. Generally you can get one to four "banks" on a charger. Each one charges a 12 volt battery at ten amps.It is well sealed with epoxy, weather proof, temperature proof, and has two green leds, quite bright, that come on when the batteries are at 100% capacity. Two different leds show a red color while still charging, so it's hard to get mixed up.This unit drops amperage in predetermined levels several times during the charge, ending at a trickle charges after the batteries are fully charged. This prevents overcharging, overheating, and lowering of battery fluid levels from heat, during the charging process. It also has the feature that cleans the plates in the batteries, which helps the battery life a lot and extends their peak performance. I don't know how it works...I don't care, as long as it keeps those expensive marine batteries alive and happy.I wanted a battery charger smarter than I am, one I could plug and forget, even during rain, wind, heat of summer, to below freezing temperatures, and that's what I got. It has worked flawlessly. You can find cheaper charges, but eventually that savings will be lost on more frequent battery change-outs, or worse, battery failure out on the lake. Just buy the best, and forget about having to worry whether it's doing its job correctly, and having to run out and undo the leads when the battery is full, to avoid overcharging.I am impressed with the fact that this charger has a programmed chip inside to calculate, control, and vary the charging cycle amperage to accommodate the state of each individual battery. While it's best to use batteries with the same amp hours of capacity, some of us can't go out and drop over a hundred dollars on a new battery just to match capacities. I've mixed 90 amp hour and 115 amp hour batteries, and have had no problems whatsoever with this "intelligent" charger.I'd recommend this charger. I'm very happy, and trust it to perform without fault for as long as I have it. It's already been through deluge rainfalls several times without fail, high wind conditions, and cold nights. It simply waits there for the battery to indicate its needs, then it comes to life. It's worth every penny! The features can't be ignored.

Simple and does it's job. Noco knows it stuff!!!
I put a 20 amp 2 bank charger on my Mako after my old unit failed to charge properly. I did quite a bit of research before purchasing and found the reviews to be very helpful. I watched the unit very carefully with my voltmeter for the first few weeks and it has continued to perform flawlessly. This may be the best on board charger I have ever owned. The guys at NOCO built a product that is as simple to install as hooking up a few wires and plug it in and it does the rest. Green light is charged battery and red light is charging. The Genius has multistage charging typically found in much more expensive units. The quality is fantastic, fully sealed for marine environments and size is smaller than most other units of equal amps. I can only say thanks to NOCO. I have never taking the time to review a product and felt compelled to review this unit and as an added bonus it is made in the USA.

Unconventional charger for my scissor lift... it works!
Retrofitting my scissor lift was easy with this replacement battery charger which took about 1/5th the space the original on board charger did. It keeps the batteries charged up properly and I never have a problem with the lift as I used to. Works well! I'm satisfied and would buy again.NOTE: If you appreciated this review please give it a “thumbs up/like” your helping me to continue to give honest/unbiased insight into products I’ve used and you may have questions about. Interested in a product but don't know enough about it and would like it reviewed? Please let me know and I'll see what I can do... Thank you 🙏

Buy it
Works as you would expect. Very clean install. Keeps my deep cell boat batteries ready for action. Perfect for on board battery charging. Was a competitive price and works the way you want it to. I bought the two battery option for my twin engine boat. Flawless so far.

Time Will Tell
After 10 years the OEM DualPro charger in my bass boat finally gave up the ghost. I needed to replace it and I did a lot of shopping in person and online looking for a replacement. Based on the longevity and reliability of my DualPro I was seriously considering investing in another DualPro - but they are high quality units and carry a price premium that reflects that quality and brand name recognition.I spent the better part of two weeks trying to decide and pushed myself right up to the wall of my next fishing tournament trying to decide between the various makes and models out there.Ultimately I settled on the NOCO Genius GEN2 based on favorable reviews here at Amazon and a couple other online forums. The price fit into an otherwise tight budget and unplanned repair expense, and I liked the fact that it was manufactured here in the United States. Cost and country of origin were my primary purchasing decisions.Considering the installation spot, installation wasn't too bad. The unit isn't overly heavy and the closed mounting holes made it easier to get a screw held into place and started before tightening them down. Both the AC cord and charging cables are long enough to work with most any bass boat installation. Of course I clipped the AC cord plug and attached the AC wires to the replacement On-Board Charger Inlet (that I also purchased from Amazon). The first charge cycle after a recent fishing tournament went without issue, and both trolling batteries were fully charged by the next morning. If I had two complaints it would be the gage of the charging wires (much smaller gage than used by DualPro) and also the warranty terms. Make sure you read them over at NOCOs website. Their warranty is prorated after the first 1.5 years, so in reality you don't get a full 3-year warranty. On the Genius GEN2 after 1.5 years (with a receipt) warranty service will run you $44.95. Should you miss-place your purchase receipt warranty service will run you $65.95 anytime during the 3 year warranty period.I reserved one star out of a possible five star rating to see how durable and reliable this charger will be moving forward. In my particular application - tournament bass fishing - it will see it's fair share of use in various weather, temperature and water conditions. Hopefully it will be up to the task.
