These KLEENDOL Disposable Napkins do have a fabric-like feel but it's a thin and quite stiff fabric rather than something soft and fluffy. They're said to be made from paper but they have a feel like there's a plastic coating or additive in there too. They're quite absorbent and actually useful as a wiping-up cloth in the kitchen, they hold together quite well when damp. As a napkin they feel a bit too crisp and they're quite large, almost the size of a guest hand towel, so they're a bit over-the-top for daily use. As part of a table setting for a wedding or function they make a lot more sense and the minimal style with no printing or border designs adds a stylish touch without being garish.

Very absorbant but these really feel like those towels you get in rest rooms in shops and cafes, a little bit rough but they do the job, you do get a lot of them and they do cover an awful lot of work you may have for them but it is hard to get past the fact that they really don't feel like they are towels or napkins, good for spills and slips but not much else really and that does make them seem a tad pricey to me.

These napkins turned out to be far more practical and enjoyable to use than I expected. They are fairly tear-resistant, generously sized, and absorb liquid astonishingly well. I tested them with a wine spill and one napkin held around 50ml without falling apart. Even when fully soaked, they kept their structure; I could squeeze the liquid out, hang them up to dry, and they were still intact. The texture is smooth and soft against the skin, pleasant for wiping the lips during a meal without any roughness. They also have a certain elegance to them, making them just as suitable for a dinner party as for an everyday table setting. As a bonus, they handle drying duties too, leaving plates and glasses completely dry with no trace of water spots. As for the claim that they feel like linen, there is some truth to it. The combination of softness and substance makes them feel more considered than everyday paper napkins. In short, these napkins feel soft and substantial, adding a touch of refinement to everyday dining while still being smart enough for guests. Happy to recommend!

I ordered these to use as napkins, even though the description was ambiguous and thus a bit confusing: are they towels, or napkins? They are quite big when unfolded, and very absorbent, so would indeed be suitable for mopping up spills. Despite being so absorbent, they rip fairly easily, because they are not very thick. They look and feel like a fancier version of the paper towels which one gets from the dispensers in public loos. Indeed, I have seen similar ones in some premium hotels - used as hand towels. They feel more like fabric than tissue. I have therefore decided to keep them in the kitchen and use them both as substitute napkins for family use - not when we have dinner guests - and for mopping up spills if a kitchen towel is not to hand.
