goes on like butter
This product arrived quickly after ordered. Very easy to mix and cured to sand fast. Didn't shrink at all, so no pinholes. Easy to sand. Did not show through on a white top coat.

Compared to System Three Silvertip QuickFair
I've used both TotalBoat TotalFair and System Three Silvertip QuickFair on a large project. There are some differences and I do have a preference, which I'll tell you about at the end of this review.I really like the 1:1 mix ratio of TotalFair and the strongly contrasting colors. It's clear and satisfying when you've sufficiently mixed the blue and yellow to a uniform green. In spite of this I had resin left over when I ran out of hardener.QuickFair uses a 2:1 ratio that I found harder to eyeball until I realized I could put down two blobs of resin and one glob of hardener instead of trying to guess a glob that is half the size of another blob. You need a bit more light to mix QuickFairs pinkish and white to a uniform color. Personally, I find the resulting pink less attractive than TotalFair's green, but perhaps this will be extra incentive to get the primer and topcoat on soon.QuickFair has a smell that's a bit unusual for epoxy. They must have a different chemical in there. It's not really bothersome, just remarkable. TotalFair just smells like regular boatbuilding epoxy. In one spot I had an issue with a thin coat of QuickFair not curing. I must have mixed it wrong. This only happened to me once; I think I got the hang of the mixing better later. With TotalFair I had some areas with pinholes that came from mixing bubbles. Not as bad as when I made my own fairing compound from epoxy and filler, but it still happened. This never happened with QuickFair. It seems QuickFair is a bit harder than TotalFair, so it takes a bit more sanding. I mostly used a straightline sander and my 40 and 80 grit sandpaper didn't last long at all before it wasn't sharp anymore. In the end I like System Three QuickFair better. It's complete lack of pinholes is a big deal and more than makes up for the slightly more difficult mixing.

Wouldn't Recommend
Product too dry, hard to mix, super hard to apply.
