PS5 Pro best console currently available
I’ve previously owned the original PS5 and now the PS5 Pro and can say in my opinion the upgrade is absolutely worth it. Paired with a 48” Philipps Ambilight OLED TV with VRR is a great experience with the pro. Elden Ring runs far better than on base PS5 with less stutter and a more consistent frame rate helped along by VRR. The quality difference in newer titles like Assassins Creed Shadows really demonstrates why this console is the best money can buy at the time of writing both in terms of graphical fidelity and power. It’s everything good about the original PS5 with more disk space and graphical horsepower. Missing a physical drive but for me this is a non-issue as all my games are digital. Overall, it’s a fantastic piece of gaming kit and paired with a good OLED VRR TV provides a top-tier gaming experience.

Excellent on my 8K Samsung TV
The PlayStation 5 Pro is an impressive upgrade for gamers looking to push visual quality and immersion to new heights. Designed for upto 8K TVs, the PS5 Pro's hardware enhancements allow for a higher graphical fidelity with options for 8K at 60Hz and 4K at 120Hz, delivering stunning visuals that truly stand out on compatible displays.A standout feature is its improved ray tracing capabilities, which enable realistic lighting and reflections across several games. This enhancement brings added depth and realism to scenes, especially in games like Spider-Man 2 and Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, where the visuals now appear sharper and smoother. The new PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) technology also supports upscaling, giving even 4K displays an extra visual boost by delivering crisper textures without overburdening the GPU.In addition to visuals, the PS5 Pro performs impressively in terms of heat management and Wi-Fi 7 support. It runs quieter and cooler than previous models, even after extended gaming sessions, which is a notable upgrade over the original PS5. The added Wi-Fi 7 capability boosts download speeds significantly for those with compatible routers, providing faster connectivity and smoother online gameplay.Overall, the PS5 Pro offers substantial improvements for visual immersion and performance, making it a great choice for tech enthusiasts looking to maximize their gaming setup, especially on 8K TVs. However, its high price may be a factor for some, given that the original PS5 already delivers impressive quality.

PS5 Pro – Worth Every Penny!
I’ll be honest, I was on the fence about spending £700 on the PS5 Pro, but now that I’ve made the upgrade, I can confidently say it was absolutely worth it. All of my reservations have been completely alleviated, and I’m blown away by the improvements over the standard PS5.First and foremost, the performance is phenomenal. The increased processing power means faster load times, smoother gameplay, and a noticeable boost in graphics quality. Games that looked great before now look absolutely stunning on the PS5 Pro. I’m talking about richer details, sharper textures, and better lighting effects that really immerse you in the experience. The upscaled 4K visuals are a game-changer, and I’ve noticed a major improvement in frame rates. Whether I’m playing fast-paced action games or open-world adventures, the PS5 Pro handles everything flawlessly. The new ray tracing enhancements add another level of realism that I didn’t even realize I was missing before. The upgraded cooling system is another standout feature. The console runs quieter and stays cooler, even when I’m gaming for extended hours. No more worrying about the system getting too hot or loud during intense gaming sessions. The design is sleek and modern, and the console feels incredibly sturdy. It fits seamlessly into my entertainment setup, and I love the subtle but noticeable differences in build quality that the Pro offers over the standard model. One of the biggest surprises for me was how future-proof the PS5 Pro feels. With the increased hardware capabilities, I know I’m set for the next few years of gaming without worrying about performance issues. It’s a solid investment that will keep delivering top-tier gaming experiences as new titles release. All in all, I’m incredibly satisfied with my purchase. The PS5 Pro has exceeded my expectations in every way, and I’m thrilled I decided to make the upgrade. If you’re on the fence, I’d say go for it—you won’t regret it.

PS5 Pro: Modest Upgrades with Strange decision.
Overall Impression: Better than I had feared – NOT PERFECT but a solid 9/10. The PS5 Pro delivers some valuable upgrades, especially in WiFi connectivity, a 30% boost in performance, and expanded storage. However, the strange decision to omit a disc drive may leave some players with mixed feelings.Review Summary:Pros:- Robust WiFi connectivity with stable 5GHz and support for 6GHz bands.- PS4 Enhancer sharpens text for PS4 games only.- PSSR, a form of AI-driven upscaling, is an upgrade that enhances image quality.- Smooth, consistent performance across various settings.- Expanded storage with an additional 1TB of internal space.Neutral:- Fairly priced; neither a great deal nor a bad one.- PS4 Enhancer: Primarily improves text clarity, which is a nice touch but not a game-changer.- Only one front USB-C port supports 10GHz, restricting high-speed connections on the 2nd port.Cons:- Lack of a disc drive for physical games or media. Conclusion:The PS5 Pro provides notable improvements in performance, storage, and connectivity, though the lack of a disc drive might be too big of a drawback for some buyers.

Good with Caveat.
If a dedicated gamer or do not have a base PS5 the Pro makes sense . Problem is no disc drive and USB C is too short for my needs , had to buy one separate. Good console overall .
