Fits well but it’s made flimsy
This harness looks tough at first glance but after trying it on, I noticed that it is actually very flimsy and in certain areas. The areas that feel flimsy are the shoulder straps. They are super thin and the material makes me nervous because it looks like it could tear with the weight of a person straining it . Additionally, there are some plastic clips on the shoulder straps that are also really thin. If these break, then the harness would likely have me in an upside down position hanging from a rooftop.Other than the harness being flimsy, I do like the fitment of the harness. I am 5’10” and a little over 200 pounds. The harness fits and isn’t too tight. There are a lot of adjustment points as well so it could fit someone that is probably about 20 pounds smaller and probably about 20 to 30 pounds heavier, would be my guesstimate.I do also like that the vest comes with two carabiner clips and a rope. The rope attachment with the metal clips is actually extremely durable looking. They’re a little bit difficult to unclip, but I think they’re supposed to be like that so that they don’t accidentally unclip. If I would’ve only paid attention to how thick the rope was, and not looked at the harness, then I would’ve assumed that everything on this is heavy duty, but that is not the case.Overall, I found this harness to be poorly made, as far as materials go, but great in the fit.

Good quality, comfortable, attractive
I ordered this item for when I trim trees or paint the facia above my patio again.Feels heavy, good quality. Strap material seems strong. Padding is comfortable. The buckles seem solid - locking and unlocking as you tell them to (1 across the chest, second across the waist, and the last two for the thighs). Feels good when you have it on. The main ring on the back is plenty sturdy. The two large clips on the shock rope are large and strong, with a nice push-to-open/unlock lever for the palm of your hand, but I do wish the rivets on those spring clips were a little heavier-duty; I think they will be fine, but I recommend maybe putting a drop of lubricant on them from time to time. The shock rope looks well-made - which is what we want, while at the same time hoping we never have to find out first-hand.It comes with a little nylon storage carrying bag which I think is just a little too small for easying stashing the harness and shock rope. If I were to use it frequently, then I would probably get a gym bag or something. The original product description is "Fall Protection Premium Safety Harness with Shock Absorbing Lanyard, Vented & Padded Shoulder, Legs & Back - Upgrade 4 Quick Buckles (Blue)"

Rugged gear keeps you safe....
I'm no stranger to harnesses, living in Maine where climbing up trees with a chainsaw is a "thing". I'm too old to do that work anymore, however I'm not too old to work on the roof of my large farmhouse, which is actually the height of a 3 story building. This harness fits great, and is every bit as rugged as the ones we used professionally in the tree business. I have tried it on, and it fits snug once adjusted, which takes a minute with all the adjustment this harness is capable of. The quick connect buckles are great, and make for an easy on and off. There are 2 D-rings at waist level on the front, and more importantly a stout D-ring in the back which is what really holds you. I love the dual "quick lock" hooks that give you double protection when hooked to a solid point. This harness fits me great, and gives me the comfort of knowing that if I fall, I'll survive. I will admit I haven't performed the ultimate test, and jumped from the roof, and probably won't any time soon, but I'm pretty secure knowing it's on, and from the look, and feel of it, will stop a deadfall from 30ft+ easily, which is the height of my roof ! My wife is happiest about this since she cringes every time I climb high things. If you have to work in high places PLEASE get one of these to keep on hand. If you need it once it will pay for itself ten fold. One issue that was a problem was the "instructions". If you can read that small print you have impressive eyes, and if not, well you aren't missing much. The harness is awesome, but DO familiarize yourself with the proper use before scaling a building. There is a lot of material out there on using these. Great buy, and a small price for the peace of mind this will give you !

Hefty Harness
Picked up this safety harness and lanyard set to be worn when working on the roof of a two-story garage. This harness seems to be well stitched and attaches securely with the quick-connect buckles. The buckle latches are small, so it's a little difficult to operate them, especially with gloves on. All three of the D-rings seem to be attached securely. The padding is nice to help with comfort since safety harnesses aren't the most comfortable things to wear. The fit is fine on both my husband (who is 5'6") and my son (who is 5'11"). The fall arrest lanyard also appears to be well made. I hope we don't find out if it actually works. I like that this harness set is OSHA compliant, that gives me a little more peace of mind. I have no issues with the harness or the lanyard, but I do have a couple issues with the storage bag. It came with big rust spots on both sides (that show through to the inside of the bag), and the stitching on one side was completely coming apart. Whoever put it in the box at the company had to have seen this. This is a problem because these harnesses are hard to store if not in a bag. There is not room in the bag for the lanyard, too, so I will have to keep it separately in the bag it came in, thus I detracted one star for the less-than-ideal storage bag.
