Excellent! This does a wonderful job! It has a smooth transition to speed. The slowest setting is very gentle with a nice, linear increase in speed all the way to a powerful stir. I was wondering what would use this for since it doesn’t have heat but realized that I of course had plenty of reactions where I’m not heating anything. I guess I just got do used to always having heat, I couldn’t imagine getting anything that did not. But it really comes in handy.For one, it is lightweight. It’s easy to pop in and out of the shelf when not in use and doesn’t take up a lot of space. Second, it’s quiet but powerful. It will easily hold a 3L beaker… Probably even a 5L though that might be a little off balance.But all said and done, this little guy is handy to have around. It’s easy to travel with yet gets the job done. Worth every penny!

I ordered this magnetic stirrer to help with mixing printing chemicals and it's been working great. I like that it's small enough to fit on my workspace without taking up too much room, but still powerful enough to handle what I need. The speed control is smooth and it runs really quietly - you can barely hear it working. It is not as fast as some of our bigger models we have, so it has some limitations on mixing.The glass top seems well-made and I haven't had any issues with spills or leaks. It's nice having something compact that still feels sturdy. Setup was simple - just plug it in, add your stir bar, and adjust the speed. I've been using it regularly for a few months now and it's been reliable every time.For the price, this is a solid choice if you need a basic magnetic stirrer. Nothing fancy, just does what it's supposed to do without any problems.

I love it. I got it to make structured water. I am able to put a large glass pitcher holding 10-12 cups of water, set the timer and leave it alone. Much more affordable than another system I found in my internet searches.It's sturdy. Love the timer feature. The stir bar does make a lot of noise though. Only on button to push, turn, and long hold to set and start. Very easy to use

I used to use the old Corning hot plates with stirrers. The dials for stirring speed were ballpark and were dialed until the speed was "good enough". An exact speed was not necessary. This stir plate has a knob you push to adjust time of stirring and then you push again to adjust speed in 1 RPM increments. There is no way to bypass dialing 1 RPM increments and it suck to be you if you you need something other than the default 400 RPM. You are there spinning the dial forever to reach the desired speed.Otherwise, the speed if very dependable and rock solid, the timer is handy if you have to walk away, it is very quiet and easy to forget, and finally the fact there is no heat is one less thing to break. I use this to mix powdered caffeine into warm water and can come back later to decant into a pump bottle for energy drinks. The Lachoi stir plate comes with one stir bar (30mm or 1 1/8 inches) but I recommend buying a few larger ones with the pivot rings in the middle.

This is so cool! I have been wanting this for awhile. I haven't found a use for it just yet, but I am planning on stirring my resin with it very soon. If nothing else it is just cool to watch!

this hot plate is very dangerous. There is not any thermal protection when the unit is power cycled . When turned on the plate becomes dangerously hot.

I got this so that I could mix up some of my powdered supplements for my reef tank. It seems to work well, though not as quickly as my current technique of using a small powerhead. I will still keep it though as I'm sure I'll come up with other uses for it.

Good little stir plate. Adjustable speeds. Nice flat surface and it looks nice.
