Lenovo Thinkpad T440 Laptop - 14.1" I5-4300U 8Gb 240Gb Ssd Wifi Webcam Usb 3.0 Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit

I love the Lenovo T4XX range but have never been able to justify spending the money to purchase such a high spec machine - until now. As an engineer, I am extremely fussy about quality and the thought of purchasing a "refurbished" machine really didn't sit well with me. I was really surprised the spec of this machine - An i5-4300U with 12Gb of RAM and a 240Gb SS drive with Windows 10 Pro installed for just around £300 +VAT. When it arrived I was expecting a machine that would basically fail my OCD "quality control" (marks on the case, screen etc) however I was literally blown away by the quality - it appeared to be the same quality as a new machine, in fact if it had been sold as new, I would have believed it.It handles Windows 10 Pro extremely well and my other "client" machine is a T460 so I can even use the same docking station. The screen is anti-reflective which you can see from the very bad photos I have taken and attached to this review. Surely, it must have some bad points, it can't all be positive I hear you say - well there is one tiny little thing which is slightly annoying but would not stop me buying this machine again or recommending it. The touch pad is very clunky and when you "mouse click" it makes quite a loud noise. Again, it's the only slightly negative point and I really am being very picky now. So far I am really impressed with this well built, robust and fairly powerful Business Laptop. Happy to answer any questions if you have any.

Very pleased with my purchase however I did experience a lot of problems setting the computer set up - it was bought with a years free virus protection (or should have been). Had no support at all from the company who I bought the laptop off but the virus protection company was excellent in getting the protection sorted - it transpired that my computer had not been fitted with any anti virus as per purchase price / as per advert.

As a service engineer I don't feel the need to spend thousands on new laptops etc, as sooner or later they get dropped or lost on site etc. This is my second refurbed T440, I have used ThinkPads for about 15 years and always spent a fortune on the latest models, but in all honesty this is a perfect condition example of a refurbed machine.

Overall the machine has been good so far, the only down side is I really did expect it to be faster. Condition etc though tip top

On opening the air padded box I thought there had been a mistake and an unused laptop had been sent. Struggled to find any signs of wear or use. Battery life is not quite at new levels but adequate and longer lasting than expected.Has been easy to set up with clear simple instructions and the lack of bloatware is appreciated.Thoroughly recommended!

I am very pleased with my thinkpad. It suites my needs and is very efficient

Really chuffed, looked like new but a fraction of the cost. Touch pad a nightmare but that is Lenovo design not seller and I use a mouse anyway.
