Never Wrapped Before
I had never wrapped anything except a present - and not very well. I had no prior training or knowledge of vinyl wrapping. This was used to cover plastic panels on the dashboard of my car. This material was thick and strong. Backing was very sticky. Looked really great. Used a low heat gun (120 C) on edges, curves, rounded corners and contours to get a smooth, wrinkle free surface. Even screw holes came out great using an ink pen point and pencil erasure to shape. I was amazed at how easy it was to work once I learned how to cut for holes and other openings. Don't over cut or cut flush at first. Heat, stretch and fold to inside. Quality material. Withstands heat without bubbling. Biggest issue was to have and keep a clean, smooth substrate. Any dirt or chips will show in your final work. CLEAN, CLEAN is the key. Did have a few bubbles develop. Poked with a needle, heated and smoothed OK. Used single edge razor blade, old credit card with gauze pad on edge and fingers. No special tools. IMHO, surface was too glossy - sprayed with clear satin. Much better. Very impressed.

The pattern matches my interior perfectly
I bought this to match a missing trim piece in a 2010 Mercedes E350. Known problem where the door trim strip falls off. I bought the car and the trim was missing. Purchased this roll of contact trim and it matched perfectly. It was easy to work with, not flimsy. Stuck properly and I was able to trim it with an exacto knife. Time will tell if the summer heat will affect it, but I did clean the surface with rubbing alcohol first, so I had a proper surface for this trim. I have plenty left over in case it fails, but for now it looks like a factory piece. BTW, Mercedes wants over $300 for this trim and it's very involved with taking of the door panel and fitting the new piece. All that was avoided using this product. Had it done in 20 minutes.

Impressively good, especially for the price
The Brand name of the vinyl is "Respect". Its a Chinese product. I typically only use Vvid or 3M, but decided to give this a try. Very thick and plyable vinyl. It is a multi layer vinyl with no top cap. Good adhesion but not too much. Just right for car interiors. It has also has held up well in an un tinted car in the summer sun. Ive experienced failure with other brands. Make sure you prep the surface well before wrapping. It reacts well to heat when applying. Cons. It s air release isnt on par with the vinyls that im accustomed to you will likely be chasing a few small bubbles to get it perfect. While it reacts well to kisses of heat, prolonged heat will melt the top gloss layer of the vinyl quikly. Some areas had imperfections after post heat. Looks like a hard tiny raised bubble, its not dust or debris under the wrap. All in all the cons are pretty minor. I bought multiple packs and had enough to replace sections. Would definitely buy again

Good quality bad packaging
Very good quality but I gave it a 3 star because of the shoddy way it was packaged. As you can see in the picture 4” of the roll is unusable with all of the different tape they put on it. Sorry but when you are paying $15.00 a little roll that’s a lot to have wasted.

Excellent Product
Fairly easy to apply. Works best when using a heat gun and a new exacto knife for cutting. Large sections can be done in multiple pieces, seams blend easily. Final look is very profesdional and elegant.

Pass on the product
Not a good product. After installation, the adhesive is garbage, doesn't stick to wood, and leaves imperfections easily. I would not recommend it.

Doesn't have air channels.
Hard to use because it doesn't have air channels to help release trapped air. Also it is thick and like trying to mold cardboard. Using heathelps, but it reduces the adhesive stickiness. I should have went with a matte wood grain (thinner) with air channels instead. Looks ok, but many blemishes.

Just like candy
It was hard finding the original wood for my 1964 Cadillac Eldorado Baritz convertible, but this was the perfect match for what I needed it for. It look so nice I had to order it twice . Thank you! You won’t be upset with this purchase .
