I have read reviews before purchasing it and it seemed like everyone had an issue with loading the cassette with the deodorant, but all it took was a little google video search and it was so super easy to load it!!!! The base at the bottom comes off and you just pop the refill right in and twist up to get it to the top, super easy!! The refills smell wonderful and the best part, it didn't break me out!! So far it has held up against sweating, 0 aluminum, so far money well spent!!!

I’ve really enjoyed this deodorant overall, with one important caveat. I purchased the Wild deodorant with refills, and every scent has been lovely. Fresh Cotton & Sea Salt was the first one I tried and I genuinely love it, clean, fresh, and very pleasant without being overpowering. Scent-wise, Wild does a great job. Performance-wise, it actually works. It keeps me fresh all day and performs better than most natural/aluminium-free deodorants I’ve tried. The only downside for me is how it behaves when I sweat. The deodorant mixes with sweat and creates white, milky drips from the underarms, especially during workouts. Because of this, I don’t wear it to the gym or with sleeveless tops, as it can be embarrassing. It doesn’t apply perfectly smoothly, but that part doesn’t bother me, it’s specifically the sweating reaction that’s the issue. One thing I do want to mention, because I’ve seen other reviews struggle with this, is that changing the refills is actually very simple. The bottom of the case comes off, you place the refill inside, and that’s it, no hassle at all. Aside from the white dripping when sweating heavily, I really like this deodorant. The scent, effectiveness, and refill system are all great. If the formula could be tweaked to avoid the white sweating issue, it would be close to perfect.

This is my favorite aluminum free deodorant! Super easy to swap the refills and very easy to apply. The scents are subtle but pleasant and my clothes are not left super goey after wearing.

I’ve been using this deodorant for a little over one month and I can honestly say it is by far the best aluminum free, natural deodorant I’ve ever tried, and I’ve tried a lot. I have really sensitive skin, so there are a lot of natural deodorants that have caused reactions for me, but this one doesn’t at all. When it’s used in the dispenser it’s meant for, it goes on pretty smooth and doesn’t leave any residue. Each of them smell really good, not too strong and they all prevent body odor really well. I have psoriasis, so I only shower every 3 or 4 days or it gets out of control. With other natural deodorants, I’ve had to apply twice a day, which comes to about 6-8 times between each shower. I only need to apply this one twice. Once after I shower and once before bed the same day. For me, this keeps the odor at bay for at least 3 days in a row. It doesn’t really prevent sweat, but with natural deodorants, even if it says it does, it never really does for me. Like everyone else, the only issue I have with this is the dispenser it’s meant to be used in, but it’s a pretty big issue. In theory, it seems like a great idea. In real life it works for the first 2/3rds of the refill, but it doesn’t push up the last 1/3rd of the deodorant, so you have to either dig it out or waste it. If you dig it out of the container and apply it with your fingers, it goes on kind of thick, so it leaves white residue and it also feels like an exfoliate instead of a smooth deodorant. In order to get the first empty refill out of the dispenser, I ended up having to pull out the entire insert of the dispenser. It’s clearly not supposed to come out because I could see the glue on it, plus it was really hard to get it out. Once I did, though I was finally able to take out the cardboard refill and replace it with another. Somehow, I was able to get the insert to go back in and stay in place, so I was able to use the next refill like it’s meant to be. I really hope they can figure out a better way to dispense this because it really is an amazing deodorant. I’ll use the refills I have, but if they don’t make a better dispenser available soon, I’m going to have to keep looking for a natural deodorant that works well for me. I hope someone from the company sees all of these reviews that say the same exact thing, so they can remedy the situation. I don’t want to have to keep trying different natural deodorants over and over again.

I've tried lots of natural deodorants and this one does actually work and without irritating my skin, so that's a pro. Lasts for about 24 hrs, which is nice. However it doesn't smell like coconut OR vanilla. It has a fake, laundry detergent kind of smell with an underlying hint of Play-Doh scent. Weird, I know. But so is the smell! I also purchased 3 of their other scents as well (Mint & Aloe Vera, Lemon Basil & Blood Orange, and Arctic Ice) and I find them all to be extremely strong, unnatural and unpleasant smelling. To be fair, I have a sensitive nose and I don't like most perfumes or artificial scents. However I do like most of Schmidt's deodorant scents, especially Bergamot Lime and Native's Vanilla Coconut. They are much more mild and natural smelling to me. My second complaint is the size of the lid. It's too short so you have to twist the deodorant stick back down before you put the lid on so it doesn't get smashed inside. This is annoying! If you compare the lid to other deodorant sticks, Wild's is definitely shorter by about a quarter inch. Why didn't they just make the lid as tall as what is already out there and obviously works? It's a pain having to twist it back down to put the lid on. I like the idea of a reusable deodorant case but they need to go back to the drawing board with both the case and their product scents.

Based on the ratings and the environmentally conscious packaging I wanted to try this deodorant, but was sadly disappointed. Overall rating 1.5 out of 5 stars, what a bummer. Likes 5/5 Refillable container 3/5 the smell is not overpowering (not a lot of choices though) Dislikes 2/5 Adjustment/control 'knob' to dispense product - it's awkward and when you turn it catches your fingers, so one turn adjust, then turn again, a round controller would have been a better use here., but it's functional so it gets higher than just a 1 star 1/5 lastability = ZERO. Completely worthless for its intended use. I know that some products your body takes a while to adjust, but months and months later it's still a fail! It fails on stress days, it fails on average days and it fails on doing absolutely nothing at all days. It fails while watching TV, it fails while reading a book, it basically just FAILS! So, sad and such a waste.
