Good saucepan in a handy size
I'm more than pleased with this triple-ply 1.5 qt saucepan so far and I'm glad I found it. I've boiled water in it (see below), used it once to reheat food including sticky cheese, and washed it in the dishwasher. It still looks new and I don't anticipate any problems with it. The bottom is flat and fits my smaller size 6" burners perfectly. It's heavier weight than the one it replaced. The stainless steel handle doesn't get hot and I like the design of the lid and the no-drip rim. I usually cook one or two servings and 1.5 qt is probably my most often used saucepan size. Some reviews complain about rust and discoloration. Maybe that was an older version? Stainless steel should not rust and if some foods discolor it, vinegar or Bar Keepers Friend should take care of that. One concern of mine was that Cuisinart's instructions say to not ever use it on high heat, even to boil water. What?! I don't use the highest heat setting for anything other than bringing water to a boil, but I've never had bringing water to a boil on high hurt any pan. I tried it with this pan and it was fine too. (I'm not telling anyone else to do that, but that's what I've always done and will do.) I don't do things like put cold water in a hot pan, boil pans dry, etc., but I didn't want a pan I must baby. This seems to be a great pan and a great value at $20. (It was $40 at Kohl's.) If it shows any rust or corrosion later I'll try to come back and edit this review. My other stainless steel cookware has never rusted in decades of use and I don't expect this one to do so either.

Superior quality saucepan at fraction of cost of others
IMHO, this Cuisinart saucepan is one of the best 1.5-quart saucepans on the market, it works as well as or better than the ones costing $$$$$ more! Love that it's stainless steel (threw out all the non-stick and aluminum cookware), and especially how weighty it is...sauces are less likely to scorch. Having another, pricier brand 2-quart saucepan, and just ruined an also frequently used 2-quart one, replacing it with this handy 1.5-quart size was the way for me to go. The decision to purchase a Cuisinart 1.5 was based on my son raving about the 2-quart Cuisinart saucepan I gave him for Christmas couple years ago.

Great 7”wide pan for large gas burners. Perfect for 1-4 cups of Indian Tea
I was looking for a new pan to make Indian Tea, ie Chai. I had multiple pans before. However I upgraded my kitchen and with that came large gas burners with big flame. They were burning my pans as pans were thin, one had a smaller diameter than the burner. The bottom of this pan is 7”. With the burner at 80% the flame does not come up on the sides. This is 1.5 qt. Compared to other 1.5 qt pans, this flatter and wider. Thus it provides a better coverage of the insanely large gas burners. With the thick and heavy walls, the tea does not burn the pan.It does not have the pour spout but the curve on the lip provides a good pour. The handle remains cool. The pan is easy to clean. Big difference is that the sides do not burn.I have been looking for pan for my Indian tea. This works well.

Build Quality
The qualty of this pot is quite good. I read the reviews but was not expecting it to be as durable. It perfectly replaces a sald master I had for years, in terms of size. I like this pot because most of the ones I researched did not have the desired width and were too deep. Perfectly suits the quantity I need this for, without having to wait on a deeper pot.

Heavy duty stainless pot.
Very heavy pot. Good heat transfer....Only requires about 80% flame on my gas stove to boil water. Even heat transfer. Washes well in dishwasher. Metal lid. Only negative, the metal handles can get very hot, so you need a potholder to handle them after being on the stove. Recommend.

mixed feelings
I love the size of this pot but both my husband and I find the handle cumbersome. The pot is very heavy and something about the angle of the handle or something just makes it harder to pick it up. But it does feel solid (and heavy) and like it will last for a long time.

Amazing value and durability.
Wow. I just randomly checked my Amazon order for this pan, and it was 10 years ago to the day that I bought it. And it has not gone up in price.I can't speak for the quality today, but if it's the same as when I bought it, you MUST BUY THIS SAUCEPAN. I've had it for ten years and it's basically as good as new.I can say without hesitation that this product is one the best value purchases I have ever made in my life. Hands down.

I got what I expected from a Cuisinart product.
This is a go-to pan. I made a big mistake and burned one beyond use and immediately purchased another one. I like their quality.
