As advertised
Easy to install. I’m only using pellets so should last a long time. Seem like thick plates. One piece was broken upon delivery but Amazon sent replacement.

Easy setup and sturdy!
For what these targets alone cost nowadays, this is a good value. The stand is sturdy and easy to setup. If you want something that you can be mobile with and setup easy, this is it. I leave chains attached to plates so I just have to bolt chains to post when I take it somewhere to setup. The legs fan out so it gives it more stability and I even tested it on a hill and it maintained stability. One person can pick it up and move it around so it's not too bulky or heavy. The plates do angle down slightly when hanging to reduce chances of ricochet. I am satisfied with the price for what you get.

I was looking for a couple small gong targets and then saw this complete set that includes 4 targets and a rack for just a few dollars more than I was expecting to spend on just two target plates. This set comes with everything that you need to assemble it - including the wrenches and hex driver. I decided to test these out to make sure that everything works as expected and they do... however if you have full-sized wrenches, or even better, an impact driver, you will save yourself a lot of time and fiddling around. The large bolts that hold the chains to the target plates are 3/4" or 19mm. The smaller bolts are 9/16" or 14mm. You can use either imperial or metric sockets. The hex driver is 6mm. There are a couple claims in the pictures that are not accurate - it says that the chains are "already installed bolt" - they are not. One picture also indicates that the legs "click" together - they do not - they need to be bolted. These are not significant issues, just mean that you will spend more time with a wrench in your hand. The parts list also shows that there are 18 washers included - there are actually 10 small black ones and 8 larger silver ones. The larger ones are used on the bolts that attach the chains to the crossbar, the others are everywhere else. I assembled this kit in my home and would suggest that you do the same, then tear it down only as much as you need to transport it to where you will be using it so you do not spend a lot of time wrenching instead of shooting. You can see the assembled rack in my house - obviously I will not be shooting it here! I have never had AR500 targets before and when I showed them to a friend who has, he said that he expected the target plates to be heavier than they are. I have not been able to get to the range where I can shoot a heavy rifle yet, so I have not been able to test them with anything but a 22LR (which they laughed at!). I hope to get there in 2 weeks, but I need to post this review within 30 days. If there are any concerns after hitting it with a 30 cal, I will post a revision. The targets feel solid, the frame feels quite stable - I can't wait to get this outside to test it.

You have to be an avid shooter to really enjoy this. The good: it's very heavy duty, everything from the chains to the targets. It makes the actual practice more enjoyable when the bullets merely hit and fall and I don't need to go reset them again. Very adjustable in height but not in angles. You need to have a very flat surface to really use this to it's fullest potential. The bad. It's very heavy. Obviously expected considering how heavy duty it is but it does make it a pain to pack up all the time. Considering I shoot every few months, this is verging on more hassle than it's worth as I need to go away from home to do so. Very good quality but for an occasional shooter, I think it's overkill.

I got this for my friend's private property. its designed to be easily taken apart and put back together, and to me that was the major selling point, because theres a few times in the year where I could bring this to family and friend's property and shoot the S, so to speak. AR500 steel is build mostly for just under full power cartridges, think .308, its able to roughly absorb 2100 foot pounds of force, for those who load their own ammo and gauge how fast its going. I like that its adjustable, not just for being able to shoot prown, but the if you have a low incline, the lower setting would give you a backdrop, which is something to consider when target shooting outdoors. id agree with the other reviewiers on the complaint about the chains, they are the most likely point of failure and are not particularly special. The metal itself seems fine, most of it is covered in what i assume to be a zinc finish, doesn't matter much to me as the steel framing only needs to be strong enough to hold up its targets, and the targets themselves are heavy and thick. overall its about as transportable as you can get for standing steel targets, most are desgined to be afixed, this one is not, while that certianly doesnt mean its fun or easy to lug around, its better than nothing.

And by supporting steel I mean the "arms" and "legs" of this thing. When you shoot the ar500, the bullet pretty much disintegrates and sprays out every direction and peppers the arms and legs of this thing and the worst thing thats happened it some lost paint and a bit of rust... Thats it... Most of the other targets ive had had cheap and thin legs compared to these which have some weight to them. Its surprisingly portable and easy to move around, it even comes in a small box thats a bit friggen heavy, but sets up in a couple minutes with 2 people I LOVE that you can also change the height of this, super smart as you're able to adjust it for the type of backstop you have. We've shot the ar500 with everything from 9mm to 44mag to AP 6.5 and AP 308 and has hardly made a scratch on the steel. Not to mention, the targets when properly setup are angled down to ricochets are a lot less likely. Liked it so much we got another

The good: this is a large heavy stand. One person can lift it but you're not trucking it around the range by yourself. Targets are 3/8 in steel as advertised, so they're heavy in their own right. Nice finish, easy to assemble. It's a great target even for rifles, it's heavy enough for that. Be aware however this is neither mobile nor easily transportable. I had intended on keeping it in storage then just humping it into the bush as needed. That's not gonna happen, I'll have to find a permanent spot or have a couple young folks with some energy to burn. It's just too heavy to be easily mobile. Plus it goes together with nuts and bolts. So you can't even take the legs off easily for transport. I'm thinking I'll likely replace some of the bolts with pins for easier transport. It's a great target system, the heavy duty is both a blessing and a curse, great for shooting but not easily transportable.
