These things are rubbish. 'Heavy Duty' is the most over used term on Amazon now - absolutely everything is Heavy Duty, supposedly; well these ratchet clips aren't. Before I had even had a chance to actually put any load on the thing, one of the screws started popping out the side (see photo). Now, this could be a manufacturing fault, but I doubt it. The construction of these Heavy Duty ratchet clips doesn't lend itself to being a solid construction, even without a manufacturing fault. So save your money, learn how to tie a rope - which is what I had to do after my weekend was wasted on yet more cheap rubbish equipment. I should add, I don't expect miracles for X pounds, but I do expect a product to last longer than 10 minutes out of the box.

I read several reviews that mentioned using these to support hanging baskets. All I can say is the products are fine in themselves but DO NOT lend themselves to raising and lowering baskets of flowers. You have to reach up to release the clip to lower the object.

These are a great idea for your hanging baskets! They are often too difficult to reach to easily dead head the flowers in them. These are easy to attach and mean that it's incredibly simple to keep your summer flowers alive for longer. We have purchased quite a number of these over this summer. I would recommend for hanging baskets although we haven't used them for anything else so far.

Feel solid and should last a long time, I used some Velcro to bundle up the excess cord otherwise it just dangles and can get in the way. I used them to hang a grow light and the carabiner's can be looped around themselves to hang from, meaning these ratchets should be able to hang off pretty much anything.

We needed these to fix a sail/ sun break to our house.They do the job perfectly and appear quite sturdy after their first season.Would buy again..

There are supposed to be 4 hangers I only received 2.I payed for 4. (I don't want to return I just want the other two hangers!)Still waiting for this to be sorted....

The items arrived safely and as described. I purchased them for suspending gardening equipments off the floor in my garage. The brackets are used to hold the equipments, so that the pulleys are not on constant loading. Their ratchet mechanisms help to winch upthe loads.

got as a tie down for a kayak does the job and is as strong as other more bulky tie downsand is less obtrusive with it's size and still has the strength of a larger model.as a plus the clips lock on to the straps and ties making it easy to attach
