My 25 year old broan 50CFM 4.0 was failing, so it was time to replace. I made sure this one fit into the existing housing, so installation was a breeze. It really is a lot quieter at 2.0, if you use the fan to cover the sound of you taking a dump you might want to go louder. But I prefer a quieter fan. Apparently it is more energy efficient as well while still pulling out the same air, but I could find no information as to power usage. i've had this for some months now and no issues at all. If I had to complain, it looks like the new cover design may restrict airflow a bit, but at only 50CFM, its likely not.

Fan is very quiet and easy to install, the only gripe I have is the cover. I used it in a powder room, once I walk in I can see the rough drywall because of the cover. However I can easily replace the cover which is quite affordable. If this is mounted on a higher ceiling, I don't think it would be an issue at all.

Much quieter than the Broan fan it replaced, for about the same price.

Fan works fine, much quieter than original from 1990, but get the finned cover not the solid as pictured. You can see right into the guts of the fan and is extremely unattractive. $2 more for the other cover. I'll be spending $12 for a replacement due to cosmetics.

I've had to replace four 25 year old versions of this model this year. The good news is that the part that actually needs to be replaced, the motor and fan platform, is pretty easy to switch out. The platform is held in place by three tabs. Once you release one tab, the others come loose. The only issue is that the new motor platform is slightly taller than the old one and this causes fitment issues with the fan cover. If you use the replacement cover, you can see the rough cuts for the fan assembly hole in the ceiling.

Product arrived all banged up, duct connection destroyed, useless as is, unfortunately I stored the box untill I was ready for the installation and did no noticed unti now and missed the return window!

Doing remodel and installed new bath fan rated at 4 scones; it was too loud and almost annoying. Purchased this rated at 2 scones with same air volume rating. MUCH better and quieter at a value price! Thumbs up!
