Not too good to be true. It is true! Theeerrrrrre GREAT
I was a bit skeptical of this as it seems to be a pretty low price. But wow, it works fantastic. I am getting another to connect to this one. The mist is fine and feels great on these 90 degree humid days. The birds seem to love it too, flying right into the mist sometimes. I have them along the top of my deck privacy fencing. Then lay in the sun and stay cool. I had no problems at all with valves or anything else that some have mentioned. I got lucky maybe, but I love this product. The mounting and location options are endless. All you need is access to an ordinary garden hose. I have faucets installed on my deck so I can turn them on or off without going to the main spigot. Good solid product here, at a good price. All brass hardware!

Simple, Affordable and a Dog Run MUST HAVE!!!
The media could not be loaded. This is the second preassembled kit and expansion kit I've bought, the first one lasting 6yrs and wasn't totally thrashed but, plugged up from keeping it up year round. If you have dogs and live in the type of summer climate I do (100 degrees + for weeks straight) these kits are a no brainer. Very simple to put up, with the expansion, "fine tuning" and using zip ties to keep everything in place, I don't think I took more than 45min at most to get it up.I did find years ago that using the 3/8" system over the 1/4" system does give better water pressure out of the heads. Makes me feel better knowing the dogs have a place to cool off when I'm gone and they love it! Every dog I've had since installing the first has loved this system and using very rough testing equipment (terrarium thermometers), was getting almost 20 degrees cooler under the shade behind the wall of mist. To take the dogs from 100 degrees to 80 by just going in the run is a big difference for a very affordable, well made and easy to install system. I'm still not done and have some sections left I plan on T'ing off to give a little more mist coverage but, we're Central California summer ready!Actually, after seeing this dog run (have them set up on both) my friend said, "Screw the dogs, I'm throwing one of these up on my patio!" and that patio is a nice lounging area even in the summer. Can't go wrong with this misting kit and expansion kits they make for it.FYI- Video is from ~1mo ago when new system was installed. Pic is single stand before the expansion was installed to double up the heads.

Misting kit works fine, filter poorly made (?)
I have an old hand pump Misty Mate that I purchased over 15 years ago that still works like new, and was looking for something that I wouldn't have to keep priming to get a mist. I was excited when I saw this product. This product was easy to set up. I used velcro cable ties to attach it to a pop-up tent we have as we do not have a covered patio to attach it to. The misting action was great, We did not have to turn the water on 'full blast', just a small turn of the knob, and we got great misting action. It did have some leaks, but they were fixed by using the little rubber hose gaskets you can find at any hardware store. We had only used the misting kit 2 times, and the last time we used it, the T-filter blew out-the connector was still attached to the hose and the filter part popped off. I tried to fix it by snapping the connector back on, but it just leaked like crazy. Glad I bought the calcium filter so we will just use that, but the T-filter seems to be poorly made and designed. I can get a new one for $2.99 + $3.06 S&H (I think it's silly to pay more for shipping than the product itself).Unfortunately, Amazon won't take returns on "used" products-I wouldn't consider the misting kit 'used' just faulty. I will look to see if I can contact Orbit directly and obtain a new T-filter.UPDATE: I contacted Orbit directly, they responded quickly and immediately sent out a new T-filter. Unfortunately we did not experience any more hot days so we did not use the mister since receiving the replacement part. Will have to wait until next summer to try it out. Their customer service is superior, so I gave an extra star.

worked great
thought of a mister the night before i was having a large party on patio when it was over 100 degrees. went online to amazon looked it up had it sent overnight. it worked great. I had read reviews about little black ball that gets lost. the little black ball is at the end where it drains. Really is no reason to take this apart just let it drain. its still on my patio and my kids love it already planning to add more next year these things really do cool it down. for 20 bucks they are great. plan ahead cause it cost me an extra 20 to overnight, but for the comfort of guests it was worth it. an aside if you have concrete patio like i do get some outdoor rubber mats cause these misters make patio a little slippery. i just happend to have some in my basement by washer and dryer and took them out side and put them under misters and nobody slipped or got hurt.

Trying a new system and will update later
Just tried this last weekend. Bought 1 expansion kit and I can tell I will already need it. So far just 2 gripes. The main one, they only send 10 hanging clamps, should be a few more for the feed line as well. But I guess I can find them locally. The other is that the mist is so fine that it blows away with smallest wind. Maybe I should find a different size nozzle. Shipping was great. Installation was a breeze. Will update this review after I install the expansion kit.

A LIFE SAVER FOR MY BUDGIES
I already had one. It was about 4 yeras old and still working. I have a double watering control, so I just got the 2nd one. They are in and around the sunny side of my large walk-in aviary. With the control valve, I can alternate and have each mister come on for 15 mins out of every hour, and one timer is set 1/2 hour later than the other. So, beteen the 2 misters, it ends up 15 mins on and 15 mins off, throughout the hottest period of the day.I sit out in the aviary quite often, and it really does feel nice in there, inspite of 90 to 100 degree weather. The birds love there little mist showers, especially if I put a leafy bough out there under the misters.I think it is a very efficient system, especially for the price, but because of the amount of water that does come out, you might not want to have it aimed at your guests if you are throwing a fancy soiree.

Works just fine.
Works ok. Does need to be mounted about 10 ft high and doesn't need much water pressure to mist.
