Yes.!.. it hits the Darjeeling scent and flavour notes
At last, a brand explicitly known for Darjeeling, at widely available pricing. (ie priced for volume consumption). Definitely better than Lipton Darjeeling offering which is only slightly cheaper. The Makaibari DOES present the requisite earthy Darjeeling musk taste note when prepared right (please! Do not make tea with this like you do with kadak assam tea etc). This tea has a real innate flavour worthy of being called Darjeeling. I will be re ordering. Glad to have alternative to Lipton that doesn't cost arm and leg!

Stands tall amongst others
Good Quality... Clean Refined Darjeeling Character Color from bright amber to coppery Smooth with no butter harshness Soft muscatel flavor that soothens the palate and natural taste that lingers pleasantly. What makes it special is the strong flavor enough for the morning but yet gentle and elegant unlike other commercial teas. The aftertaste is slight fruity and refreshing as always. Tastes best always without milk.

Unnecessarily too costly
This quality tea leaf is available in most shop in west bengal @ rs 2000/ kg. No smells. No taste. Its cheating.
