These strips work really well. They adhere firmly, but not permanently, have terrific grip stippling, and they are clear so that underlying wood can be seen. They do not make the stairs look funky. As an added benefit, they are perfect for helping dogs get up/down stairs safely, plenty of grip.

I can't say enough about how pleased I am with this product! After years of carpeted stairs, I finally refinished the wood underneath and was so excited to have a beautiful wooden staircase. However, it was hard to get used to the slippery finish so for safety's sake, I resigned to the fact that I would have to cover them up with carpet treads. In my search, I discovered my steps were a bit narrower than the standard carpet tread. Then I found these clear, non-slip treads! They were narrower and came in multiple widths, so I was able to purchase exactly what fit. The peel & stick feature made it extremely easy to apply. The package came with a roller to insure a snug, even adhesion to the steps. Once down, they are solid and secure. They are clear to let the wood show through, thick enough to wear well, and most of all, the slight pebbled surface gives just the right grip to feel safe even in socks! And is not uncomfortable to walk on in bare feet! Perfect product!

Above all I wanted an easy to install grip that looked seamless with my wood floors. These were all that and more. They blend right in, offered a size that fit my stairs with no cutting, and have held up well. The little roller they provide is pretty crap, but it provides a great bit of extra grip for very easy and aesthetic installation.

Good traction and installs easily. But it left glue residue and stripped some of the wood finish when removed.

Easy to assemble, love that you can’t even see it but it’s the safety thing for my elderly friend who was scare to walk on her slippery stairs.

We put in LVP on our upstairs landing and right where the edge meets the stairs the is a rounded edge that we just thought was an accident waiting to happen since it seemed slippery. We didn’t really need a whole package of stair treads, but that seemed to be the only way to purchase them, and this package came with just a few, which seemed more reasonable and the size of the treads seemed about right for our needs. We found it very easy to apply and it stays in place. It has a definite texture to it which grips the feet so there won’t be any slipping and yet is relatively transparent. Yes, you can see it - but is is really hardly noticeable and worth the piece of mind.

We built our small dog a set of steps and a platform so he could sit at the window. Problem is every time he would get up on the steps he would slip and I didn’t want him to get hurt. So I purchased these, cut them down and put them on the steps. Now he goes up and down without any problem at all. The platform and steps we made out of wood and stained them and I didn’t want to ruin the look of them so these being clear is perfect.
