This ptex kit worked great to repair some base damage on my snowboard. I followed the directions and repaired several spots without any issue. The repairs seem to have cured properly into the base as they are still good after riding the board a few times. This is so easy to use. It only takes about 5 minutes of effort to clean the spot, drip some ptex into it, and then scrape it after it fully dries. I let it sit for about 15 minutes after applying it before scraping the excess off with a scraping tool. This is a very cheap and effective way to maintain your snowboard or skis. I recommend these and will be using this kit for repairs on my equipment for a long time.

I won't get a chance to use this until it snows but I added it to my snowboard work bag, and everything looks and feels exactly like the brand name stuff. I will definitely look this item up again if I run through all this Ptex.

This is a set of PTEX candles for repairing gouges in skis and snowboards. It comes with 5 "candles", a scraper tool and a sanding pad. Works great, love it!

A solid bundle, with enough p-tex to fill at least a couple seasons worth of base damage. Straightforward to use, but check for videos online if you haven't done this type of repair before. The included scraper is nice and sturdy, but it's also rough along some of the edges (hanging burrs that weren't removed after the metal was stamped/cut). It's usable, so long as you remember not to scrape those burrs along your base. Otherwise, you may end up with a lot of unnecessary scratches on your gear. No complaints aside from that, four stars.

Never did my own ski base repair, so figured this would be a good starting kit. I try to stay on the good snow but there's always that hidden stone that will scratch up your base. Super easy to do and very inexpensive vs going to a ski shop.
