Fantastic product, a good sandwich presser toaster

It takes two full sized pieces of bread, side by side with no problems at all. Very easy to clean but the problem is No regulation of temperature, burns things on outside easily.

So, I’ve been making not only toasties but also chicken breast, fish and hamburgers with this. I don’t miss my old pan a bit, it’s made my life so much easier. Chicken comes out super juicy if you wrap it in tin foil and put it on the grill, this method can be used with anything, even veggies, and you’ll still get the grill marks on it. Piece of advice though, cook your meats last when you have everything else ready on the plate because this thing is insanely fast. When it comes to cleaning you won’t need to do much if you use the tin foil method, but using paper towels while still hot does a good job if you cook directly on it. I usually season the plates with a bit of sunflower oil every few uses if I’m cooking straight on them. They can’t be detached for cleaning so I prefer to play safe. I don’t regret the purchase a bit but it’s got a big con, particularly for people with kids prone to use it: it doesn’t have an on/off button, so you have to rely on the the socket switch. This is aggravated by the fact that it only has a single light that goes on while heating, and off when it’s reached the ideal temperature (even if it’s still on!). It’s really easy to leave it on by mistake just seeing the light is off, unless you’re one of those maniacs that keep turning the plug switches off all the time. I had mine reheating all because I forgot.. Also no temperature regulation but I’m not bothered by it at all. The standard temperature it has works great.

Reasonable size - not too large or too small. Have only used for toasting sandwiches and works very well. And it is easy to clean the flat plates. Good too that marble coated rather than teflon. It is not possible to manually control the temperature - it is automatic and quick to heat up ready for toasting.

Smaller than expected but still good grill

A quite good toasted sandwich maker. Finally worked well. However, We could not understand why Amazon would sell an English product like this, into the Australian marketplace, and not advise potential customers that it was set up for the UK market. To our surprise upon opening the box, we discovered that we could not use it in Australia unless a modification to its electrical plug was made. We thought of returning the product but that would be difficult. Then we thought that we may be able to locate in Australia, an adapter to convert the plug. These adapters are available in some shops. We were able to locate one a few days later and able to see if the sandwich maker actually worked. We will be more careful if there is a next time.
