perfect for my 4/0 connections

This is a decent enclosure box but not high quality. Parts of the metal were a bit bent and I don't think the waterproofing would last long. I ended up replacing with another.

I got this metal electrical enclosure box to have a safe spot for plugging in all my string lights on a timer. The build quality is impressive - it feels really solid and well-made. The thick cold-rolled steel and overall paint protection give it a sturdy feel that should hold up well in most environments.I appreciate the thoughtful design elements. The groove design on the door frame and the included sealing tape are nice touches for dust and moisture resistance. The safety lock is a great feature, especially if you have kids around who might be tempted to fiddle with electrical components.The removable galvanized mounting plate is super convenient for installing electrical components. And the whole wire troughs? Genius for keeping everything tidy inside.However, I do have some concerns about the waterproofing. While it seems to have some moisture resistance, the description clearly states it can't be exposed to rainwater. This limits its use for truly outdoor applications, which is a bit disappointing given how I intended to use it.Installation was straightforward with the four holes on the back. I opted for expansion nails, and it went up without a hitch.Overall, it's a solid product that serves its purpose well for indoor or covered outdoor use. Just be aware of its limitations if you're planning to use it in exposed outdoor areas. For my string light timer setup, it works great under my covered patio, but I wouldn't trust it out in the open during a rainstorm.

Singing to the choir, I know. But my 2 cents. Probably saying cheap Chinese quality answers more than details. There, did not waste your time too much.

I used this for a mailbox which I know I could’ve gotten a cheaper mailbox but I didn’t want it to look like a mailbox.

I am using this outside to house some electrical plug outlets for a project I'm doing. I like.the fact it's metal and powder coated. The lockable cabinet is good too. Size is large enough for what I'm doing. I would.say the seal is sub par. The doos.seems loose and doesn't close all that tight. The weather foam is not applied well and is.pretty thin. I would hang this box with the hinge facing up due.to the door seal not being all that great.The true test will be after some rain storms and I'll report back. If your looking for a super solid box you may want to look for a different option.
