Why is this caught in the US and processed in another country.

It’s caught in the Usa thank goodness cause the water is cleaner. Usa does not have any processing plants that is why it’s sourced out. Don’t throw the juice out, it’s omega 3.

Is this brand nitrate free?

The label says skipjack tuna and salt, packed in Thailand, sustainably caught, Dolphin safe, BPA free, Additive free, Mercury tested (“lowest mercury of any brand”). There is no other information.

How does it compare to Wild Planet Tuna which is supposed to be low mercury?
