Impressed
Fitted these to my Ibanez archtop and I’m impressed with the sound. They are sweet sounding and respond well to the tone control. Slightly hot and good with it.

Awesome tone for the price!
After being impressed with a set of Toneriders fitted to a Telecaster, I ordered these to go in my Epiphone Les Paul, and have been delighted with the results. The build quality is good, and the tone is classic warm Les Paul humbucker, with excellent string separation. One slight weakness is that they don't sound quite as good when the coils are split (coil taps) as some others I've heard, but I can live with this TBH - it's not the reason you play a Les Paul! Overall, these have turned my 'meh' epiphone into a definite keeper that rivals my friend's top end Gibson for tone. I'd be amazed if you could get this quality elsewhere without splashing significantly more cash. Basically if you have an Epi or similar that needs a bit more zing, do give these a go - I think you'll be delighted!

tonerider ac4
Replaced my epiphone les Paul and explorer both with these unbelievable difference in sound and dynamics .with changing out the pickups and upgrading the caps and inputs the 2 guitars feel and sound shocking. I 1st got ac4 set with no covers in black had them in the lp then decided to swap them into the explorer because they had no covers they gave a great wide own sound.then I ordered the same set with nickel covers for the lp and wow. Really cheap but real high quality pickups.i believe fender are using this product in they're non American guitars and for good reason.

Humbuckers of great quality and value
These Alnico IV pickups are tremendous value. I put them into a Zemaitis metal front clone and they are as good as Gibson 57 PAFs I have in other guitars. Cannot recommend highly enough for your double humbucker guitar project .👍

Top sound
Absolute fantastic product, i replaced the stock pick ups in a Epiphone Les Paul with these and they are great, the Alinco4 produces a nice clean, bright tone that works very well in the Les Paul and sounds so nice (obviously this is down to personal taste so your milage may vary) i would put the sound between my Gibson Les Paul and my Fender Strat. This is probably ,now, my most versatile sounding guitar.

Simply excellent for getting vintage tones
Just buy them and save £100 off a 'boutique' brand set!!! These are lovely, bright, clear 'mud free' Humbuckers that have proved perfect for getting cutting vintage tones in my '92 Les Paul which had an original overwound 490/496 set in. I was going to get some boutique PAF clones (Bareknuckle) but these sound very very good. I've been modding guitars for 30 years and used Seymour Duncan, DiMarzio, Kent Armstrong and Bare Knuckles. These are easily on par with any of those. Well packaged too.

They were installed in a Fender Blacktop Tele and the guitar is a complete new and better instrument than before
I was blown away by the build quality and sound of this set. They were installed in a Fender Blacktop Tele and the guitar is a complete new and better instrument than before. Especially the neck pickup is better than any PAF like I've heard before, even so than my previous personal favorite, the Seymour Duncan sh-1N 59'. And for half the price of a SD set. Look no further, these toneriders are the real thing.

If I would’ve given these 4 stars, I really think I would be under-rating these pickups. I have these in an all mahogany LP style PRS & they sound great. I put the Tonerider AC2’s in and PRS semi hollow & they sound great too. FWIW, I liked the AC4’s easily as good than the DImarzio 36’s in this specific guitar (AC4’s are staying in it too!), and I liked the AC2’s quite a bit better than the Duncan WLH in the semi hollow. They split well too. I know tone is in the ear of the beholder, but the AC4’s are very close with the Dimarzio’s, just maybe not as much mid-range, and they’re very dynamic. They AC2’s are much less compressed than the Duncan WLH, not quite as hot, and to me, give a much more authentic PAF vibe. I would imagine the AC2’s would be more comparable to the Seth Lover set with nice, rich mids, with the AC4’s being a touch warmer & with a more balanced eq. It could be that these pickups are just really well matched to the guitars, but they really surprised me and sound awesome. Great clean & dirty, good clarity, dynamic & open sounding. These are very nice pickups at ANY PRICE, and a steal for what they cost.
