Hornworm Chow for Teal Hornworms

My hornworms LOVED this. They turned a beautiful teal color. Easy to follow cooking instructions. Food won't go bad in fridge, and will fill 1 quart size cup and is enough to sustain 15-20 hornworms. 6 of my hornworms were able to do their entire life cycle (hatchling to pupa) on this food without it molding or smelling sour. Excellent product, excellent price.

If you're wondering how much it makes, it very clearly states how much dry food is in the package as well as how much prepared food it makes. The only excuse for not knowing is not reading the description.As for the preparation it was super easy. My hornworms loved it & I had desperately needed the extra food.Will be using this as I start to breed my own.

It came with fairly easy instrustions but even though I followed them to the "T" my hornworm didnt thrive on this horn chow. Could have been the worm just being picky though too.

Bought to feed 20 growing hornworms who had already eaten through their supply from the seller. I carefully cleaned out their old jar before putting this easy to prepare food in. A few days later my worms were noticeably paler and had not grown much, a few were dead, and my beardie started refusing to eat them. I tried serving them various greens to save the worms, but they had pretty much stopped eating, and one by one they all died.I followed the prep instructions to a T, and found it easy to prepare. This chow is unfortunately just crap.

I gave 3 stars because this possibly could just be my expectations being off but this only makes maybe 2 pods worth of food. I was expecting WAY more chow for the price!

All I can say is Thank You!! Easy to make and keep. My worms get full size healthy and fat. And my dragon loves them! Very pleased. Great price for the value of this food.

You're getting only about a cup of feed. That is fr less product for the price.It should also be noted that microwaving decreases the nutritional value by far I learned this when my daughter was a baby. You do NOT microwave baby formula because it more than halves the nutritional value.My daughters growth about halved in the time a grandparent was nuking the formula (not just the water) to warm it up.When you cook the food, use a small pan and do it on the stove. When it cools/dries the feed will shrink and peel away from the pan.DO NOT microwave the chow....
