METALTEX Glass Salt and Pepper Set, 40ml, White

I was surprised at the size of these when I opened the package but I was wrong they are SO useful I ordered another set. My original intention was to replace a jar of seasoning which has very large holes in the lid not suitable for shaking as you either got nothing or half the jar! These little shakers are perfect for this having many small holes thus enabling an even shake of the contents! Not only that but they have a cover over the holes which is hinged so you don’t lose it which is why I ordered another set to replace my salt and pepper pots keeping the contents dry and free running. Win win!

I bought these to keep in our caravan to help keep salt/ pepper dryer and fresh. Great idea i though! The glass is nice and thick but the lids are cheap plastic and ill fitting. They will do an ok job i guess but dont seal the holes fully to keep the salt dry. When opening the lid it sometimes jumps out of the fitting! Not sure how long these will last but lets see. I will update if things change.

Salt pots with lids great. They are sprung by metal springs so hopefully won’t rust. For now though I think they are Fabulous not too big either.

I would haveled these to be a bit bigger but they are what they are. The glass part it stirday and look quite cute but the flip cap is on a spring which seldom goes ba k in place without having to fiddle with it. Because of this, apart from it being frustrating, I have a feeling this spring cap won't last too long 🙃

Would have been great for the caravan, unfortunately the spring mechanism broke on day 1 on one of them and on day 3 the plastic “hinge” tab broke other. Not fit for purpose. Shame.

These work really well to keep the moisture out of the pots. We keep them in the kitchen and sometimes the cooking steam can dampen the salt, these work well.

Love the idea of these having lids. The lids are flimsy and broke on day one. Still useable but now without the lids 😪

Just the right size for winter use as in a larger container the salt clogs up .

durante 30 años hemos probado todo tipo de saleros aquí en España y todos los trucos de los libros, pero la sal aún se humedecía y obstruía todo el tiempo. ¡Estas pequeñas ollas son geniales... las usamos todos los días y NUNCA tuvimos sal húmeda en ellas! La mejor característica es la tapa a presión que tiene pasadores para limpiar los orificios y mantener el salero hermético.............GRACIAS............... ..Voy a pedir un juego de repuesto ahora...........s rutherford

The hinge pins are flimsy and come loose. If you try to put them back, you stretch the spring so it won’t work any more.
