This pan makes me look like I can cook!
I make sunny side up eggs for my 91 year old dad because he prefers that style. I had to learn how and always had a problem with the egg whites spreading out too far no matter what size pans I used. My experience has been 50 - 50 as to the eggs sticking to my pan, no matter what oil, heat, or spatula LOL, I use. I did discover beef tallow had the best results for less sticking. Finding out about these egg pans was so exciting! I had tried the egg rings, but that was too finicky and the whites would run out the bottoms, or stick to the rings, or I would break the egg while trying to get it out of the ring. I found this pan and being made in Korea was a big plus over all the China ones, because the quality is much more controlled there, especially the teflon non-stick coating standards. I got the pan today and made my first 2 eggs for him. I read all the reviews and tips, so I put water in the 2 cups I wouldn't be using, and kept the heat on low-medium as directed. Because the eggs are contained, I figured it would take a bit longer to cook, so I tried to keep the heat low so that it wouldn't overcook the bottoms, but the top whites were cooking slowly. As a result, the bottoms got a bit too firm, although they didn't turn dark or burn, and the yolks weren't as runny as I usually make them. So, the thickness of the egg confined to the cup does make a difference. I wanted to see what cooking it without a lid would do, and that was it. What I will do next time is use a lid to cover the eggs so that the top cooks faster and that should preserve the tenderness of the bottom, as well as the runny yolk. I use beef tallow to oil the pan, only a pea sized amount, and there is no sticking at all! The eggs slid out easily and beautifully and had a great shape. I look forward to trying poached eggs in this pan, too. The other two cups I had water in them while cooking the eggs, and the water just boiled happily, so I could see how easy it would be to put a couple eggs in there and let them poach in the cups. I always hand wash my pans, and this will be no exception- it was easy to wipe clean with a sponge and dry off, and I store it with my other pans using pan pads in between to keep them from scratching each other. Also, I read some reviewers say that they had a problem with the pan not sitting flat on gas stoves or tipping easily and had to prop the handle up on a cup to keep it from tipping. I have a KitchenAid gas stove cooktop and had no trouble with the stability of the pan on the burner grates. It was stable, and the handle is actually light weight for how heavy it looks. It would not tilt or wobble, unless I really pushed down on it which I wouldn't do during cooking anyway. So, that was one worry from the reviews that I'm glad didn't occur for me. Overall, great pan and also happens to be my favorite color! I will take care of it and hopefully it was last for many years like some other reviewers here have been reporting. Win - win!

I don't give reviews often, but when I do...
I LOVE IT! So I've been using egg rings unsuccessfully for years, and just didn't realize there was a better way to do it until I started searching online and discovered that they make pans. After searching various pans, this one looked the best even though it was a little more $. And I'm VERY happy with this pan so far, I've used it twice now. The eggs came out easy both times and looked PERFECT. So here's everything you need to know: 1. It feels like a quality pan, good heft. Pan color looks more purple than brown, but looks nice. 2. Heated all 4 eggs surprisingly evenly. The shape and size of the eggs were perfect, exactly what I wanted for making egg mcmuffins. 3. The Teflon non-stick works GREAT the eggs slide right out, but here's what I do - and would recommend you do as well: a. Always spray each cup indentation with olive oil, and pre-heat the pan on Medium heat for a minute or 2 before you put the eggs in. b. Cook only on Medium heat c. Wait to flip until the liquid on the top of the egg is just about solidified... then flip - and you won't make a mess. d. Use a flexible spatula to flip, and cook the other side for another 2 minutes. (You can use a second spatula to help you grab the other side when you're flipping it). e. Always handwash the pan, even if it's "dishwasher safe" it WILL last much longer hand-washing. It's super easy to handwash this pan too, takes a second since nothing sticks to it. I never used to like making egg mcmuffins because the silicone egg rings were always a mess, the yolk would slide underneath, it never worked well, and the rings were annoying to wash. Now I've got this pan it's been super easy and I've used it back to back mornings for breakfast! I'm very pleasantly surprised! :) I have zero downsides to report using the pan. It will just be a matter of how long the non-stick lasts, but if I'm always spraying with oil, cooking on low to medium heat, and hand washing - I feel like it will last for a long time.

Amazing quality pan, there are so many uses and so little to clean up.
I am so excited about this pan. You can feel the quality in the sturdiness of the pan . The handle is a brushed stainless steel, attached to the pan with rivets, and it has a beautiful mauve finish. I made this southwestern English muffin, to test my beautiful pan out. It not only has beauty it was made with brains. It has a very non-stick surface and I had no problem flipping or moving the eggs. The heat conduction was wonderful heat reached all the areas of the pan (impressed). The size of the cups were a perfect fit for the muffin, and the edges between the cups were adequate for any overflow. It has a very well though out construction. I am excited at the thought of all the possible uses of this pan. It would be great for hamburgers. You could put them on Portabella Mushrooms that you could cook all in the same pan. You could cook Pancakes and put the eggs and ham on them, all cooked in the same pan. No more cleaning up more than one pan (yeah, I hate dishes). It would also be great for portion control of small cakes, cookies,or homemade English muffins. I could cook vegetables, sausage and dippy eggs all in one pan. I have not even begun to think of all the ways I can use it because it is also oven safe. I am so impressed with the quality and thought that went into this pan, and all for a wonderful price, I am amazed. Thank you Techef for your wonderful products. Update: I have now had this pan for five years and I am still finding uses for it. My latest is that it is the perfect way to poach eggs. I can’t believe I didn’t think of this before. I fill it with water, put the vinegar in, crack my eggs, turn off heat and cover for 4 minutes. They turn out perfectly. No egg white everywhere. Everything stays together.
