Top Flight Quality!
The SK05 is a sturdy well constructed multi function light that shines quite bright. It doesn’t feel cheap in any manner and the compact design is ideal for ecd. They also come in colorways that other brands don’t have. Job well done LoopGear!

Solid, impressive, functional, fun
The engineers that built this went for very high functional design, but also threw in in an element of the creative - just because they could. As a torch it is awesome. The business end of the flashlight is a double barreled powerhouse delivering narrow and wide angle beams with selectable brightness, and SOS or dazzeling stoboscopic modes that could be used to draw attention when you need help. There is a small array of ED'S on the side of the unit that provide battery status as you engage the rotary button that dials in the mode of operation as you rotate it, and selects brightness in the various modes of lighting, using fast taps or long holds of the dial's center button. This is where they waxed playful and creative - just because they could. The little strip of LEDs, shows battery level as you move the dial, and delivers anything from a variable brightness steady-light for long duration illumination during power outages, to excellent attention grabbing modes that would do an excellent job of warning drivers that approach the scene of a breakdown, or accident. Steady light of various colors can be provided for tasking when your night vision needs to be protected, or you are identifying your specific location for someone trying to sort you out in a crowed, or other situations where light pollution makes finding your location otherwise difficult. The end of the flashlight is magnetized, with enough power to hold the ligh in position when attached to any metal object of sufficient contact area. Finally, the light can be used as a power bank to charge your phone or other electronics,. The flashlight is solid, substantial, but can be easily kept in a pocket for ready availability. This is the best light I've ever purchased, but with the complexity necessary to provide this level of flexibility - you should plan on being a little confused at first as you sort out just what this unit can do, and how it will be used in different scenarios. Solid, impressive, functional.

Absolute beast of a flashlight
Found this item scrolling YouTube and I must say that it’s more impressive when it’s in your hands. Feels great and the blue color really caught my eye. The lighting is superb and the build quality feels solid also the fact that it can also act as a power bank to recharge your phone is another win. This makes a great birthday or Christmas gift for that gadget lover in your family and will be buying a few more for Christmas gifts.

Annoying little green light on the side!
I received this to give as a gift. Everything looked good. The only thing I have to say bad about it is that there is a little green light that stays on in the side light. There apparently isn’t a fix. It some sort of glitchy firmware. I have the pro model. It’s an exceptional light. Amazon is gambling the exchange for another SK05 standers model, the black one. I will update once I receive the new one. 01-06-2026 update to the above review. I give it 5 stars for the product, Amazons quick response with a replacement. It came in and is functioning as it should. It’s an awesome lights. I also contacted Loop Gear. They too were quick to respond. They had honest concerns about the issues I experienced with this particular light and sent this issue to their in-house team to intensely investigate. I’ll chalk this experience up to a fluke. The replacement and my older Pro model are awesome lights. I highly recommend this light and Loop Gear. Great customer service!!

Design Flaws make it undependable
This has been my favorite flashlight for EDC. But why the one star? My first SK05 was from a year or more ago and seems to be different than the new one I'm now reviewing. I needed a new one cause I needed a button. YEP! crazy how that turned out but let me explain a little more. Design flaw #1 -Button comes out too easy. The 3m drop that is referenced in the sales material would send the button into a 4th dimension. In fact mine did. I missed my pocket and dropped it from waist height, like I've done before but this time it must have landed just right. I searched for that tiny button everywhere... poof, it's gone. Design flaw #2 -The last drop broke the little PCB mounted button inside the light. It's the actual button the button pushes on. After cracking it open I found the tiny button was only held in place by the smallest of bracket, I don't like to even call it a bracket. Most of these PCB buttons have 4 pins but this one has 3. Two for the contacts and one for support. It's just not enough support to last. If you drop the light and it lands on the button, it's going to break. Mine didn't even have enough solder to flow to the backside of the PCB which is how they should be installed. Design Flaw #3 -This only pertains to the new light I got. I purchased the Pro and the standard version hoping to work around the main reason for my single star. The lock out dial is nice. The ring can be operated one hand and stays where it should. The problem is that the new ones have a new function they call Auto Lock. If the light is in one of the 3 different modes and off for 60 seconds it will lock the light requiring you to move the dial to the locked position and back to where you want it. This is just plain annoying and unsafe for me. The idea and selling points they used is that it's easy to use. Now I have to look at the light cause if it's in Auto Lock it's guaranteed I move it the wrong way to unlock it. Then move it to the actual locked position, to unlock it, and then back to whatever mode I have now already forgot I wanted to use. I have to look at the light to turn it on! !@$# Does this sound unreasonable? If it does then why are you still reading? To understand the safety issues that can arise from this you must understand the many different working environments it could be used in. When I reach for my light, I need it now. I'm often holding something with my other hand and sometimes playing a balancing act on a ladder at height while the wind is blowing. I can grab my pocket knife and with one hand open it, use it and put it away. All without looking or having to think about it. Auto Lock is redundant since it already has a locking feature on the dial. This light could be used in a self defenses situation as well. If it's dark out and you want to strobe someone to get a small upper hand to either getting away or making the first move you should ask the attacker to hold on for a few seconds while you unlock it and find the setting you want to use... Design flaws now thoroughly beaten, let's focus on the warranty. I submitted the form they require through their website and was replied to about 48 hours later. In fact that's about the minimum required time they will take in returning emails. I understand they may be on the other side of the flat earth and have different working hours but to wait 2 days to be asked a question you already answered gets old real quick. -I sent them a photo of the light and explained I really only need a replacement button and would be happy to pay for it. -48 hours later they ask for a photo. -I explain that I attached photos to the previous email and also sent the photo again. -5 days later I have not received any more correspondents. I emailed them one last time hoping there's something I can do to make my old light still work. Right now I am still using the old light with the button from my new light. I guess buttons cost $80 now. I have checked around and even filed a different claim asking how to turn off the Auto Lock function. There's some documentation that says to push the button 6 times while in flood mode but that doesn't work for mine (Pro and standard). The manual has some badly translated instructions that only tell you how to check if it's in either lock or unlock and that doesn't even work right. It asks you to hold the button down in either flood or spot and that turns on Turbo mode. I did find a different set of instructions that said to push the button 6 times while in flood mode and unlocked but again, no worky. If I could get the Auto Lock feature to turn off I would add 3 stars. Now understanding how their after sales support works I won't be buying anymore. A 5 year warranty is useless if they don't reply.

The features of this little light are gigantic
Just on the features alone its amazing, floodlight, spotlight and multi color side light and the ability to use it as a power bank makes this a no brainer to have. Although this isn't the pro version its bright enough to cover any need you can imagine. Absolutely 100% recommend this to anyone. Its a solid EDC flashlight. The value for the money is all there. It even has a battery fuel gauge each time you turn the function selector. Its solid construction feels comfortable in your hands. And the magnetic base is the cherry on top.
