Very similar to cow butter/ghee! (And a U.S. company!)
With a high smoke point, ghee is ideal for frying, searing and other high heat cooking. I’ve tried the Camel Culture dry milk powder and found it not so different from cow milk, so I had to try this ghee. It has a ‘nuttier’ aroma and taste than cow butter/ghee, but it’s not bad or off-putting at all, to me anyway. People have used this for centuries in other cultures, it’s just something that’s pretty foreign to us in America. It certainly works the same as regular ghee. All store-bought (cow) ghee is expensive, especially when it’s so simple to make at home, so for the price I couldn’t afford to use it on a regular basis - BUT, if you can’t use cow milk for whatever reason, this is certainly an alternative option. The product came well packaged encased in a thick styrofoam container. Highly recommended! **Camel Culture is a U.S. company!

Ghee is better than butter
Though ghee is rich in fat, it contains high concentrations of monounsaturated Omega-3s. These healthful fatty acids support a healthy heart and cardiovascular system. Studies show that using ghee as a part of a balanced diet can help reduce unhealthy cholesterol levels. I love this brand of ghee. It definitely does not taste like chemicals. I’ve bought many containers of ghee in this brand and I believe I have tried others as well. You can tell it’s authentic since it has the deep rich gold color. In warm temperatures, it liquifies more easily but adds decent flavor and excellent texture to food. Even though I do refrigerate my infused ghee to be safe, it is shelf-stable and OK to leave out.
