With all the backs of the blackout blinds being white, you can create different colour schemes in each room, while keeping your home a uniform white from the outside. The blackout roller blind is made to your requirements, simply select the size and fabric you would like and what side you would like your stylish chrome chain to be on. To order, simply select the width and drop categories your window falls under. When selecting your width, select the smallest size in your category, i.e. recess measurement is 1204mm, select 1200mm, if it is 1205mm, select 1205mm, if 1200mm, select 1200mm. When selecting the drop please select adequate size to cover the height of your opening. If you are mounting outside the recess, we recommend adding an additional 100mm to your width and 70mm to your height. Excellent UK made blind, effectively blocking out street light at last.
Living opposite a street light I have been looking for a well-made blackout blind, so I am pleased to be introduced to this company. I am impressed with the excellent sturdy construction and also that it is made in the UK at a very competitive price. Brilliant, I will be buying more Luxum blinds for the other bedrooms.The material is polyester, making it easy to clean, but it also has a thermal quality, so keeping us cosy in winter. Getting the size right is important and as the blind width comes in increments of 5 millimetres ensuring the all-important width measurement, so as to provide the best possible light exclusion when fitting it into the window recess. The blinds come in a choice of 9 lengths from 1000 millimetres to the impressive maximum length of 2600 millimetres.I am surprised that the instructions and the important warning of the danger from cords to children are only in English. Also as I’m a DIY novice with no experience of electric drills, I needed help with the installation steps that are written, but not illustrated. I had to get advice from my builder. You can either fix the blind to the wall, or into the recess, however I discovered that it was useful to know the nature of the wall or lintel to know which drill bit to use.

Excellent quality.
Excellent quality , very robust . Very easy to fit too and comes with safety clip for the pull cord . I ordered four blinds made to measure and all four are exactly what I asked for . I would strongly recommend this product if you`re looking for a good quality blind .

Good quality blind
Simple to install and operate this is a good quality blind that comes with everything needed to fix in place, including rawl plugs and screws. Two holes need to be drilled to fix each bracket, which allow fitting inside or outside the recess (depending on your requirements and the size of the blind). I chose to fit inside the recess for a neat presentation. A retaining device is included to help secure the cord away from young children.Once in situ it feels like a good quality product although the sample I received had several marks on the vinyl front that are resisting all attempts to remove, so check carefully for any issues before fitting in case it needs to be replaced - the instructions include contact details should any parts need to be replaced.

Stylish
This is a really top quality blind, made from excellent fabric with all the fittings needed to attach to the window frame or surround. I really like the option of recessing it into the window cavity, or having the fixings on the outside. There is something 'finished' about having both a good blind alongside a pair of curtains.I did need some help in attaching the fixings, as I'm not an expert on drilling, especially where the lintels are concerned. But the finished blind looks great. Light and draughts blocked, privacy gained, window stylish and 'finished'.A fantastic blind, in a good range of colours and lengths.
