Fantastic!
I regret not buying this sooner. It absolutely saved my butt doing a very rusty exhaust job. It heats up quickly and consistently. I wish I bought the bigger set with more attachments. It beats breaking out a torch and cost wise you save a lot not having one in the first place. I highly recommend if you are in the Midwest and have to deal with rusty nuts and bolts.

Must Have!
Baught it to remove an exhaust manifold on Kubota tractor. Impact wouldn’t take them off. Bought this tool and got them glowing orange and then came off with ease with the impact. No broken studs, easiest exhaust manifold change I’ve done thanks to this tool.

Second time is a charm
I bought one of these around a year ago and it absolutely didn’t work. It did nothing but made a cooling fan noise. Fast forward to a few weeks ago and I decided to give it another try based on reviews. I got lucky and am pretty pleased with the results. I only used in 60 second bursts which wasn’t enough to get a bolt red hot, but was definitely enough to make it smoke/much easier to remove. I’m concerned about longevity, but it’s already paid for itself in my mind. I’d give five stars had it not been for my first experience with a defective one.

Amazing!
I needed to remove the running boards from my car, and they were rusted solid. Prior to this tool I got 1 bolt off with a combination of a nut breaker, liquid wrench, and a heat gun. After 1 hour and much swearing, I got 1 off. With this tool I was able to remove the other 5 in under 30 minutes, that included gathering tools, putting away tools, and waiting for the bolts to cool down enough to handle. I was skeptical as I'd never heard of such a tool, but it's absolutely amazing, and worth every penny.

Bang for the buck lifesaver
Bang for the buck its sooo worth it. I looked at these for years and finally pulled the trigger and it has come thru a few times in big ways that would have had me struggling for a long time.

Poor Heating
Not great. Will get something up to about 500 degrees F after a minute or so then will go into a "cool down mode" where it refuses to heat further. By the time it's ready again the metal has cooled to around 100 degrees or so. I was able to get those numbers with a laser thermometer. In order for steel to get to "red hot" it needs to be about 900 degrees F, this thing gets just barely past half of that. Due to this, it will NOT remove a stuck bolt, it's primary function. Will be returning. Edit: You need to actually touch the coil to the bolt not just have it in the middle floating a few millimeters from the nearest surface. Once I did this I got it up to about 800 degrees but was still unable to free my seized steering wheel. Probabaly a personal problem though. However, it is annoying how quickly the auto shut off feature kicks in. Not sure if all of these regardless of the brand are like that, but it does take longer than I'd like for it to get to temp, and then almost immediately shuts itself off and you start dropping temperature FAST once it does.
