Softvox - Ear Plugs for Swimming with Carry Box, - Block Water Out, Soft, Custom Fit, Ear Protection I got these for lap swimming. Do they work? Short answer. Mostly. Long answer = I tried these in the shower first and they kept the water out of my ear. Water in my ears in the shower is not a big deal but a giant flood of water in my ears while I am lap swimming can trigger vertigo pretty quickly for me, so I always test new earplugs in a shower before trying to use them for pool swimming. These held up in the shower perfectly. In the pool they kept out the water mostly. A little (stress a little) bit of water got in one of my ears. A small amount and only in one ear. They are super easy to get in my ears, easy to take out of my ears and SUPER comfortable while wearing, unlike my other big brand swimming earplugs which are a pain to get in, painful to take out, and can make my ears sore. Would I use them again in the pool? yes. But I keep my big brand earplugs nearby just in case. I feel like these would be excellent for someone who wants to lightly swim or splash around. But for someone that really needs to keep the water out... maybe different earplugs or as the description suggests for folks with tubes in their ears using an ear band overtop. I am giving them 4 stars. They keep out most of the water and they are comfy and super easy to use.

As a regular lap swimmer, having the right gear can make all the difference in my workouts. I’ve had earplugs that went into the ear canal and I couldn’t grab the little handle. What a hassle! I had to bring tweezers with me in case that happened. These earplugs have “wings” that stay outside the ear. They are easy to grab and pull on. Even if you pull hard, they won’t separate from the ear plug. However, if you want these to fit a person with larger or smaller ear canals, you can change the wing to fit their out ear better. At first, these seemed hard to put in and I thought they might not stay in. I used a rocking motion to work them in. I have a large male head and it kind of surprised me as it seemed like these might be even harder to fit for a smaller person. These do stay in for me though, and I’ve not had to readjust them mid-workout. I do use earplugs for hearing protection, support for sleeping, and noise reduction while flying. These can work for those applications and they come in a handy plastic case. Nice! I like them and I’m glad I found them. Recommended
