Yes - they seem like they would easily break. I agree- who would want them. Not me.

They are made of hard(seems brittle) plastic. I found them unusable, just not worth the hassle of returning. I think they would break easily and are so inflexible and hard that I think they would be damaging to hair and scalp. I did find the Goody combs of similar size on Amazon (though there was only one offering of this size) which were suitable and what I use to be able to purchase in local stores. Maybe these hard combs could be used to spread/groove gesso in an art project.
