Worked perfect for dance competitions! Everything held tight and stayed all day!

Easy to use. Durable. Holds well. We used it for my daughter's updo for kindergarten graduation. Simple steps we used 1. Wash hair 2. Comb through with gel 3. We parted off the front sections and made a braid on each side secured by clear elastic bands 4. We made a high pony in the center also secured with elastic band. 5. We slipped the pony through the circle on bun maker. 6. We used a fine tooth comb to divide the pony half over the top and half over the bottom of the bun maker. 7. We carefully used the comb to spread the hair evenly over the bun maker. 8. Applied gel to smooth any flyaways 9. Secured hair by placing another clear elastic over bun maker 10. Positioned extra hair to the bottom of the bun maker then braided. 11. We then had three braids (2 in the front -right and left- 1 in the back under bun maker) and started with the bottom braid and wrapped it clockwise around the bun maker, then we did the left braid and wrapped it clockwise around bun maker, then followed with the right braid but we wrapped it counter clockwise. 12. Finally we secured the braids around the bun maker with floral pins. We alternated blue floral with clear floral. We used seven of each color for a total of 14 pins. But the amount needed may very. My daughter is only 6 years old so we did have to use wire clippers to shorten the floral pins. From step 2-12 we spent maybe 7 minutes to complete. The pins took the longest because we had to clip them shorter. * Floral pins and clear elastic bands were purchased separately on Amazon and used with this bun maker. The picture with the flowers is the bun in the evening after going to school,recess outside in 92 degree F weather, gym, and a kindergarten graduation. 12+ hours with a very energetic 6 year old...this thing is not only easy it holds in place. There are many YouTube videos showing various ways to use this product. You can figure this out would definitely recommend.

This item is worth the money. My daughter is in competition dance. Having extra donuts help when you need one right away. The Bobby pins that come with this product are actually what you need to put in their hair. These Bobby pins are durable and don't hurt trying to put in your child's hair.

This is a handy little kit for making a neat bun very quickly and easily. I have long, baby fine hair and usually just put it up in a twist or messy bun secured with a claw, or if I'm feeling fancy, a long hair pin. But sometimes I do want something a little less casual and since I'm not particularly talented in the art of styling hair, I can use one of these forms and get a sleek looking bun with very little effort. And it stays in place very well while the supporting hair elastics and pins concealed. This kit is designed for blonde hair -- it includes 4 medium sized bun forms in an off-white color. The forms are not really beige, which I would have preferred for my dark blonde hair, just in case of a little show-through, Also in the kit is a a pack of small blonde hairnets and a pack of inexpensive gold colored U-shaped pins, which are kind of thin and light. They will work with my hair, but might not be suitable for those with heavier hair. The only item not included are the hair elastics. After looking at the picture in the product description, I wasn't sure if a medium size bun form would be the right choice for my hair as the model has hair that is much thicker than mine. I was worried it would look too large, considering the texture and volume of my hair. But, as it turned out, the medium size is just about perfect. I'm sure someone with very thick hair would want a larger size. The quality of the bun forms is nothing special. They are made of a very light weight spongy material and are very stretchy but they don't feel particularly durable. They are nothing like the heavy-duty bun forms I remember from when I was young. I haven't been able to find them for years. But, these forms do work, and there are four of them so if needed, I have a couple of back-ups and I'm happy enough with the kit. The price is reasonable.

We have used these many times over and they are still in great shape.

I use these to put my 7 year old daughter’s hair in a baller bun. I found that we don’t actually need the donuts for that purpose, but they do work well and create a nice bun.
