I got the "Wilder" tonic for my husband's birthday, as he likes to explore different types of things and is into foraging. I was hesitant to purchase it without any reviews, and was worried it would have a bitter taste to it with the dandelion root. Much to my surprise, this tonic is very good! I am admittedly fanatical when it comes to bitter or weird tastes. It is similar to "Harvest" without the sweetness of the molasses. It has more of an organic taste to it (as in vegetation, forest smells, green tea, earthy), which is quite pleasant mixed with the turmeric, ginger, and horseradish. I could discern a hint of dandelion root at the very end, but no bitterness.I think this would make an absolutely delicious glaze for sliced roasted potatoes to serve with pheasant or regular meats like chicken or pork. It would also be a nice vinegar for salad dressing on a bed of mesclun, arugula, or another salad with some slightly bitter greens. I think it would also pair well with grilled peaches. Whatever you want to try it with, just go ahead and try it! Don't be afraid to go a little Wilder!

This tonic has become so engrained in my daily ritual that I almost look forward to it every day. I used to dilute it with some water to take the vinegar bite off, but now I’m a straight shooter of this stuff (I literally keep a shotglass on my desk at work for it – having to explain to people that it is AC-vinegar that I’m taking a shot of is always fun).My favorite flavor and go-to is the reaper, but I ordered this one because I had a gall-stone scare and it is a bit more practical to ingest daily because of the mild flavor. I think it has many holistic benefits and certainly helps with digestion. I also think it taste great!I use the reaper before I go for a run because it is so spicy that it gives me a bit of an adrenaline boost and I find that it (along with some water) is a pretty good hydrator.I think everyone should have a bottle of this stuff handy. I’ve even used it to add some flare to hot-toddies and thrown some in my salad. Not the most practical use for herbal medicine, but again…..flavor!!!If you want a daily dose of holistic awesomeness, go with a low-profile flavor like the Wilder or Harvest, if you want a fiery adrenaline rush, get the Carolina reaper flavor.
