I only bought this game because it was on sale and I honestly am not disappointed with the purchase. I used to play the first one because it was so fun and I honestly thought this game captured the feel and 'vastness' of the first one just with much better graphics. The only downside to this game is that the rebels are always at a big disadvantage during an online match. But regardless of that I found this to be pretty fun. It's something I could pour a lot of time into because the battles are large and hectic. After playing this for a few days I couldn't see why so many hated this game. I mean, if you don't have an internet connection then don't buy this game because it's meant to be played as an online multiplayer. So if you're curious if this is worth the buy or not, well I'd say wait until there's another sale going on but you won't go wrong with this game. It's fun to play, the battles are hectic and the maps are pretty huge.

I wasted countless hours on the original two games. This is nothing like those games.Pros:It's pretty, graphics are epic. Large battles, all the stuff they're using to sell it is spot on. the heroes are a lot of fun. Tying up an AT-AT has been done in nearly every star wars game made since 1990. It's always been the hardest thing ever to do, but this game takes out the spinning in a controlled circle and replaces it with a balancing mini-game. keep the picture of a speeder vertically center in an increasingly small window using the right joystick. Good for me as i was horrible at the classic take down. It's really cool to play the same level with people attacking from the air in x-wings/ties while others are infantry. I will say it's hard to hit people in an aircraft so it's not unbalanced.Cons:not for solo players. If you want to improve your character's deck (player ability and gear) you have to earn credits. You can acquire an insignificant amount once doing training, but the game is built for multiplayer. There is no single player campaign (this was true with originals too). I lost interest in this game after playing for about half an hour. Each match, without exaggeration, takes over 5 minutes to load, i'm not sure if its the levels themselves being so large, maybe syncing all 40 players, I can only guess but you spend way too much time waiting on this game to load.NEW: local splitscreen:finally, a little bit of what I missed from the original games. It was an add-on feature so it has some issues. Text is impossible to read on my 42inch HDTV, so stats, skill abilities, etc are not legible with two people. Second player has to rejoin after every match, this is annoying. Downside is this doesn't help your character at all either so you're not building up your deck and gear. Again, that is only done with multiplayer.4 expansions planned. Interesting to see similar levels from the original games and lots of new ones.

This is a great game, not perfect. I do give it 5 stars as it exceeded my personal expectations. If you love the original Star Wars Trilogy growing up, you will absolutely adore this game. The game mechanics are great and the graphics are fantastic. Please keep in mind, I use to play Empire Strikes Back on the Atari 2600 as a kid.If you have an Xbox One and you enjoy jumping into a virtual Star Wars world, this is a game to get. It is great to be able to pilot an AT-AT, ride through Endor on a speeder bike, or run through the Hoth base taking down as many Storm Troopers as you can.

When it was on an even bigger sale during the holidays, this was something that caught my attention! Never was a particular fan of this Battlefront, but was worth getting season pass+ deluxe status and the full game itself for only 30 bucks! Great buy, if you are a Star Wars fan, or just want a casual shooter game; look no further!

The game becomes 10x better after adding all of the expansion packs... They come with not only multiple new maps each but many weapons and characters as well. Worth the extra bucks!

Very fun game to casually play with friends but it's something that I can't spend too long on per day because it starts getting repetitive. Overall, still a good game I'd recommend.

Well, I don't play it much anymore. They have added quite a bit of online content, but it still doesn't feel like a full game. Most of the online content isn't available offline and the offline content gets boring after an hour. I hate playing this game online because of all the spawn killing, cheating and freakish people who get kd's of like 46 to 3. It's a beautiful game, but I'd say rent it and don't buy it. I'm a huge Star Wars fan and this is really only for Star Wars fans. If you like first person shooters, you won't like this. The upgrade system and achievements are interesting, but very limited. The dogfighting controls are really limiting. If I want to play a Star Wars game I play battlefront two. You get to play a ton more characters, you get space battles, the controls and upgrading are better, you can actually drive vehicles. Again. This is a beautiful game. Star Wars fans should rent it and play it for a day or two. You'll have fun, but a day or two is all the fun you'll have if you're not an online fps god.

Fast and easy to purchase with automatic "online code!" Get it in seconds and besides that a GREAT GAME! Purchase the season pass too! You don't even need to be a "Star Wars" fan to appreciate the game (but it would make it better if you see the Motion Picture historic series too!)
