Yes these are overpriced small metal and plastic parts, but they can be a lifesaver. How much is that worth? If your using this kit for your own protection needs you will want red hazard looking lockouts that draw attention. The locks don't have to stop thieves or vandals. Just the unthinking individual who is wondering why their computer (or whatever) has no power to it.This is a decent kit. It has all the main components to lock out an electrical load center. Breakers, disconnects and plugs. It is a good starter kit. There are also more components and plumbing valves and such that can be locked out too. It meets OSHA standards which is good. But more importantly it means it has met a minimum standard of safety for your or your employees protection, and that is really what this is all about. Forget OSHA, take precautions for your own safety. 4 stars for a good comprehensive kit, albeit overpriced (they all seem to be).

This kit is designed as a one size for small necessities. I work in a public school and this by no means covers the shear quantity of lockout tag outs I may have in a day. It is however very convenient to grab and run and have most of what I may need in a light compact kit. As a general rule I know what kind of lockout tag out I will need but not always and this kit fills that gap. The locks are cheap but work until I can get back and get a proper lock installed. As I said, this is supposed to be one size fits all but it is very lacking, I have individual components for my more common problems.

This is a great lockout kit. It's great quality, and durable. According to OSHA guidelines machinery and equipment need to be locked out for maintenance following a specific protocol. This kit allows that protocol to be followed. It's durable, and reusable!The OSHA standard for The Control of Hazardous Energy (Lockout/Tagout), Title 29 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 1910.147, addresses the practices and procedures necessary to disable machinery or equipment, thereby preventing the release of hazardous energy while employees perform servicing and maintenance"

Basic lockout kit that has what you need for two people working on a circuit and the ability to lock out some other electrical equipment as well. What could be better is the wall mount feature - there are just some cutouts on a thin piece of plastic that pops up to double as a handle. Would like to see this built into the back of the case. That part just seems super cheap. Meanwhile, the kit doesn't seem particularly inexpensive, but I guess things that are not necessarily made for personal or residential use normally cost a premium.

This is a very good, little lockout set. As well as suiting build/maintenance crews, it also has a value for home projects. There is a reason why builders and electricians use these. They save lives.It's like cheap insurance. It may be the smartest thing you spend money on today.Lock out an extension you don't want someone using, or a tool that you don't want anyone or anyone under a certain age :) using

On one hand it is nice to have everything you need in one place. ON the other the compoonents are inexepnsive and the quality does not justifiy the price. the enclosed booklet is broad and it behooves one to explore OSHA regulations in detail before a kit such as this becomes a necessity. I ido like the convenience of the kit and everything does work. IMpressive? No. Convenient,? Yes.
