I have been dying my hair dark golden brown for years. I am very very grey with type 4a curly hair. I purchased the Coffee Brown shampoo and HUNNY! This stuff worked! I was very skeptical because i have tried rinses in my hair before and they come out looking faded or brassy. Plus even after shaking the product up when you dispense, it looks like a little color mixed with a lot of clear shampoo. I put some in a mixing bowl and generously applied it to my roots with a color brush as if i was dying my hair. Set my timer for 40 mins and it began to get darker in my hair after about 10 mins. Jumped in the shower and lathered up and once out … i was very happy with the results!

Success! Let's put it this way - I've been using this product now for months and have not had the need to use permanent hair color. This is the easy way out - it's simple, doesn't smell, washes out well and lasts for a few weeks at least (depends on your hair growth). I have alot of sneaky grays and this takes care of them quickly.I will say - watch the color you pick. I had picked COFFEE - turned out it had alot of red tones in it so I opted for DARK COFFEE. Love it! I even blend the two for a touch of something different depending on how much I'm touching up.Try it - you can't go wrong!

If you are any shade of blonde with reddish undertones you do not wish to accentuate this is not for you. I’ll be trying my purple shampoo to tone it down but is very brassy although I did love the shine and no smell really.

I don't recommend it. I tried it twice, and it is going to the trash. I got the color red, hoping it will cover grays and help me stretch the time between coloring. It smells like chlorine and dried my hair and scalp.

I have used lt brown, auburn and red and like the tone on all 3.

I was very pleased with this product. The color was just right and conditioned my hair. So much better than permanent dye.
