My son is 9 and has a foot the shape of a brick. It is so hard to find extra wide shoes for him but these did the trick.

I like the shoes, my nine year old likes them, however, he likes to take them off in the car, he says they sorta hurt the top of his foot. I need to adjust them in case they are too tight, but overall they seem fine.

When he opened the box, he immediately jumped up and hugged me. They are very sleek and cool looking. We then watched a quick video on Youtube about lacing up skate shoes and the rest is history. Very happy so far, but it's only been a day.

I really love DC shoes' design but having an active 11 y.o. they only last 1.5 months. Sorry DC. Bummer
